Say NO to Tom Cruise

He’s a little bitch for attacking South Park.

He’s not only a pussy AND an idiot, he’s also crazy. Oh yeah, and he’s a scientologist. He can go to hell.

I’ll put in a vote against TCruise. I think his acting abilities were defined in the final seen of “Taps” when he was shooting at the National Guard troops with the M-60 from the dorm window. All he did was scream and say, “Isn’t this great?” Over rated, paid, and hyped. Agree with the other posts of him being paired with better actors but receiving top billing. But, that is Hollyweird for you. After the Southpark incident, TCruise tied with Michael Jackson for first place in the just plain NUTS category.

Vote with your dollar. That is where the most damage can be accomplished.

Controversy breeds celebrity. I seriously doubt this will ultimately do a thing but cause even more people to go see his movies. Unlike most actors where a “subpar” movie (like War of the Worlds) may dent your face time, Tom has been spoken about, flamed, openly discussed, debated and randomly thought about almost nonstop. I thought the saying in Hollywood was, “any coverage is good coverage”? I guess we’ll have to wait on the box office numbers on MI3 to find out.

How he’s changed is unbelievable. This is not the Top Gun Cruise that we once knew.

TOP GUN is fucking AWFUL!! What part makes you misty eyed? The gay volleyball game?

Not that theres anything wrong with that.

LOL. I never got that movie either. It is either a cultural thing or one of those things where, since it was made in the 80’s, you just let alot of shit slide.

The first movie that I remember watching and liking with Tom Cruise in it was The Firm.

Top Gun is a cheesy 80’s movie. That is a big part of its appeal. Fighter planes, motorcycles and hilarious homo-erotic scenes. It is not meant to be taken seriously, much like Tom Cruise himself.
Fair enough, but I have friends who seriously like Top Gun and thought it was a great REAL movie. Unlike something like Road House which was obvious in its cheese - Top Gun somehow brainwashed legions in the 80s. I never saw it until about 2 years ago and I was shocked with how awful it is.

If you guys liked Vanilla Sky, check out the original spanish film. It was much better and contains absolutely no Tom Cruise or his crazy scientology aliens invading bodies and making them do bad things.

Scientology is an affront to human dignity and Tom Cruise is a degenerate human being for promoting it.

In fact, I’d PAY to see Hillary Swank kick Tom Cruise’s ass!!

Reading this thread, I had an awful doubt creeping in my mind…

  1. Knowing the scientologists knack for convoluted plots
2)Knowing this thread was started by someone whose name is ‘TC’
3)Knowing the aforementionned TC to be a clever bastard with a weird sense of humor…(and whose picutres bear a striking ressemble to actor Ed Begley Jr

Then TC must stand for Tom Cruise. This thread is an elaborate ruse to find and deal with forumites who follow blindly a line of thought set by a ‘higher autority’… Sorry folks, if you posted here, you’re A1 cult material.

Clever TC! So, how’s old Ronnie doing?

I’m in.

Unless his baby mama flashes some full frontal. In that case, all bets are off.

Uh oh. We’re in trouble now. That means me and YOU.

LOL
D’oh!!

Oh Irony, thou art a cruel mistress…

I’m straight, but I dig Top Gun. I thought it was a good flick.

I also liked War of the Worlds.

Any other Cruise movie I could take or leave. Any Mission Impossible movie is a Netflix rental at best.

Well, after seeing “war of the worlds” I do not think I’ll be actually missing anything if I never see mr T.C. again on any kind of screen.

  • I do not really understand this Top Gun sentiment. If it came up right now, nobody would even mention the movie.
I am sorry, if it offends anybody, but as far as I am concern, thums Down!

To paraphrase the above - NO to Tom!

Wow!
Thanks a lot guys.Because of this thread I had this nightmare of Tom cruise coming into my house and jumping on my sofa.
