BUT-- I reserve the right to watch DVD’s of Rainman, Risky Business, Cocktail and play over and over again, AND DROOL TO, the Volleyball Scene in Top Gun, and reminisce about the good old days before Tom turned into a Metrosexual, feminine advice-giving, couch hopping, pussy whipped, pseudoscience spouting weirdo.
Once upon a time, watching Tom made me all hot and bothered. Once upon a time, Tom was a normal man. He liked sluts, he liked beer, he had muscles and abs, he even had a manly type of sex appeal. WHAT HAPPENED TO TOM CRUISE? Age-related hormonal decline? A gay experience that knocked his socks off? Did those crazy Scientologists knock him over the head when he wasn’t looking, causing him to lose his marbles (or f*** up his Pituitary function)?
Whatever the case…will somebody please please please crazy glue an Andro Patch to Tom’s backside! PLEASE!!!
How he’s changed is unbelievable. This is not the Top Gun Cruise that we once knew.
TOP GUN is fucking AWFUL!! What part makes you misty eyed? The gay volleyball game?
Not that theres anything wrong with that.
LOL. I never got that movie either. It is either a cultural thing or one of those things where, since it was made in the 80’s, you just let alot of shit slide.
The first movie that I remember watching and liking with Tom Cruise in it was The Firm.
Due to his antics over the South Park movie, I will never watch anything that has Tom Cruise in it again. That includes telvision shows where he promotes his latest round of shit.
I am in. And I agree with the guy who suggested Mel Gibson. Braveheart was a good movie, but his Hamlet sucked, Passion sucked, and I have seen next to no scenes where he didn’t overact. I like the classic Mad Max, just for the badass factor of an action movie without overly used SFX.

-It’s (Top Gun) a woman, or a gay-man thing…ie: a “Chick Flick”. If you’re a hetero guy, you will never understand the appeal.

I just never understood his appeal at all.
Even in the firm it seems putting a man in the part would have been more effective.

Tom Cruise is a midget: X
Tom Cruise is an ugly midget: X

Top Gun is a cheesy 80’s movie. That is a big part of its appeal. Fighter planes, motorcycles and hilarious homo-erotic scenes. It is not meant to be taken seriously, much like Tom Cruise himself.

You mean like “Payback”? I thought that movie was great.
