Thanks man. I had a date yesterday and was too nervous/getting prepared to workout on saturday or sunday. But I’m going today for sure. It’s chest day.
Ok here’s the results of chest day:
Incline press: 17.5 lbs 10-10-10
Dumbbell Flies: 15 lbs 10-10-10 (perfect weight, felt like ID fail on the next rep)
Incline Push-ups: 15-10-7
Dips:
70 lbs 10
85 lbs 10
90 lbs 10
(This one was hard. I had to keep increasing the counter weight to keep from failing)
Dumbbell Pullovers: 25 lbs 10-10-10
Aside from the dumbbell Flies and the dips, I can prolly go higher on all the weights
Although the incline push ups were difficult. I didn’t think I should do more than 3 sets if 10 because it wasn’t the cardio day, and Frank Zane says to only do 10 reps without failing.
Also my shoulders felt like they were popping out and stuff during the Flies. Clearly my shoulders aren’t very strong.
Aside from the broom stick stretch (which I can’t even get past vertical), is there anything else I can do to strengthen them up so that the exercises don’t make them move and dislocate so much?
Core/Cardio day:
Ab Roller: 5-6-6 (went farther than before in the stretch as well)
Reverse Crunch: 10-10-10-10-10
Leg Lowering drill: 5.5-3-fail
Back Extension: 10 lbs 10-10-10
- Lower back hurt… is that ok?
Fat Man chin Ups: 10-7-5-5-3-5-5-5-5
Hey guys, I have a diet/meal question. :
What’s a good thing to eat that would provide a lot of calories (516 Cals) and Protein (39g)?
Something simple/easy to make and is cheap is ideal.
The thing is I’m currently eating a sandwich a day for this but the bread goes moldy before I finish a loaf so it’s wasting money. That and it’s time-consuming to make.
So yeah, anyone got some awesome snacks that fit the bill?
Slow cooker pot roast.
Easy, cheap, hearty.
I don’t have a slow-cooker unfortunately. Plus, the amount of prep time and clean-up time is too much. ![]()
How long is the prep and clean up time?
Considering a sandwich takes too much time, I’d assume anything more than unwrapping a string cheese is too much.
Just put your bread in the fridge, it’ll last longer.
They’re $20. You just throw meat, sauce and veggies in a pot and turn it to cook. Simple.
Lol, you’re funny!
Yeah guess I could try that. I do hate how long it takes tho…
Yeah, too much work, but thanks anyways.
I’ll look for other options online.
So today was leg day. I really felt sick/unsettled stomach while there. Not sure if it was because I ate an hour before or not (protein/oatmeal/yogurt/milk shake).
Here are my results:
Third World Squats: 65 lbs 10-10-10 (My form was a bit off on the last few so I’ll give it another workout before upping the weight.)
Kneeling Leg curl: 30 lbs 10-10-7
Leg Extensions: 20 lbs 5-5-5 (Legs were shaking like crazy again on this one. The weight didn’t feel heavy but my legs were weak)
Standing calf Raises: 210 lbs 25-25 (Can go up on this one next time)
Do you usually wait longer after eating?
How do you survive if setting things into a pot and then leaving is too much effort?
@SargeMaximus I would appreciate a reply here. It looks like you missed my question.
Sorry man, i didn’t think you were being serious… ![]()
I don’t know, I never actually timed it, but from what I can remember growing up, a lot longer than making a sandwich.
Yeah, usually 2 hours but then I feel weak. Seems there’s no way to win.
I dunno man lol.
How can you possibly say it takes too long? Try it first.
Seriously?
Absolutely. You should definitely try something before you decide it is too hard. That is a pretty good philosophy in general.
I think you will find that the amount of effort you put in will determine the amount of results you get. At present, you are putting in very little effort, and your results are matching it. Upping the former will improve the latter.
And to further clarify; please assume, in all instances, everything I say is serious. I do not speak rhetorically or sarcastically here. There is no benefit to that.
so this is all a joke, right? This log isn’t actually real, is it?
Of course I agree in principle but doing a specific thing doesn’t make sense when that specific thing costs money and may or may not fit the bill.
If it were the only way then sure, why not. But are there other meals that might do just as well as a pot roast? Most likely. So spending $20 just to try it out makes no sense to me. I’ll exhaust google search before I do that.
Your actions greatly disagree with this. Do some soul searching and find out if you really agree.
Why wait so long? Do you at least use some kind of supplement or snack to fuel yourself before training?
