I seem to have strained my back a little on deadlifts. Didnāt feel anything while in the workout, so thatās weird.
Should be fine for bench day and may be gone by squat day.

Iād have to pull 55lbs more to make 3xBW. And I think Iād have to gain weight to pull thatā¦

I like this better than the Life Fitness one. Feels better, but you gotta be careful of banging your knuckles together.
While I do have the wish to increase my deadlift, Iām actually going to put it on the back-burner and into maintenance to pursue the 400 squat.
Itās closest, with my most recent best free squat being 385 and my all-time best having been 395.
Once I knock that down, squat also goes into maintenance and I pursue a reasonable/respectable bench and overhead press/push press.
This low-back thing is sticking to me so I may have to adjust squat movements to baby it for a bit.
But I will win.
We definitely want video of this when it happens.

How do you do a push press? Is that a bend in the knees and then the press up?
Just like that, yep. No knee re-bend as in a push jerk. I try to keep the negative under tension rather than letting it fall back to the shoulders, too.

Back held together sufficiently to do this. Have to see what tomorrow brings⦠Iām dispensing with cycles. Iām just working up in reps, then in weight. If I get stuck, add another mini-set until I can get the reps up.
Sorry to read about the lower back issues. Still a heck of a milestone getting to 500 on deads. Putting those on the back burner (pun intended) should hopefully resolve those issues. I gave up on heavy conventional deads years ago for that very reason.
This back thing is due to doing training programming wrong, overreaching too hard. I just need to get smarterer.
