Vanity Fair hit piece on Palin.
I met Sarah Palin recently; she came to speak to a Jewish group. I’ve met lots of politicians, including Obama and Biden. She had nice things to say about Israel, but so do all politicians when talking to 1000 Jewish voters.
She shook my hand and looked me in the eye, spoke a smattering of memorized Hebrew. She was certainly pleasant and engaging. No idea if she is good or bad, smart or not smart. She doesn’t reek of “stupid” in person.
Biden, in contrast, is a moron, who reeks of “stupid.” Yes, far more dumb than Palin is characterized to be. No clue how he got where he is.
Obama was canny and dissmissive. He’s reasonably smart, but not nearly as smart as he thinks he is. Very capable campaigner. I see how he got where he is.
The only politician I have ever met that I actually liked was Senator Fred Thompson, who was an also-ran last year for the Republican nomination. Imposing, smart, and no B.S. We drank Scotch in a Four Seasons hotel bar, at his suggestion. Not sure I agree with anything he had to say, but at least he has a moral compass. He also traveled without a “possee” of handlers. Just Fred walking up. I think that was part of his schtick.
She is a scourge on this country.
Palin is ultimately the reason why our form of western representative democracy is so flawed, for so many reasons.

How many trillions in debt did she run up?

She will make a wonderful president.
Her record says she’ll aim high.
I don’t know if she would be a good president or not. A good president needs a good moral compass.
I do know that people who trust the media for their opinion that Palin is stupid are stupid.
Look, just for example, at what the media is saying about creatine. They have an agenda and anything that doesn’t fit the agenda is ignored or warped.

She ran with McCain didn’t she? She stands for nothing, is ideologically aligned with the ones who did run up trillions in debt, and is about her own personal popularity.

How much of that gas tax went to Alaska while she was Govenor ? I am not sure the tax Alaska charges America is constitutional
Sarah Palin is the new normal.
I don’t like that, obviously. But she is not the weirdest or the least qualified out there. I have the sense that the landscape has changed since 2008 and other Palin-like politicians have cropped up around her. That makes her more effective.
How long did it take you to come up with something that tries hard to be either witty, funny or intelligent but fails?

Sarha Palin was never Presidential timber. Would I rather see her in the White House than the clown we have now ABSOLUTELY! But, I certainly hope that the republicans can come up with someone better than Palin as their nominee. If not get used to 4 more years of Obama, as the liberal press will kick her into the gutter and dance on her head…AGAIN.

In a way Palin is damaged goods. She was the number two in a failed campaign against Obama. We already had a taste of how Palin will be handled by the media and SNL in 2008. We should expect media opposition to a presidential run to be even more savage and just build upon their previous assault. Palin as the Republican nominee would be good for Obama.
She didn’t get a fair crack as the media killed her. But let’s be honest, she’s not presidential material. Even if the press built her up, the cracks would show (as they are with Obama right now).
not a fair crack? eyeroll
So you put someone who never should have had a shot because of utterly transparent shortcomings in the fight and protest afterwards?
Strange, all of you guys are usually quick to point out how feminine and socialist society has become. Children are taught that participating is worth more then winning.
But Palin, somehow, is an exception.
She lost and that game wasn’t supposed to be fair- it’s supposed to be high stakes, high risk.
If you try to play president you have to be able to cope with journalists.
Palin wasn’t able to do that, she even couldn’t handle her own daugher. I wonder how she’d cope with Hu and Putin?
Guys, if she was any good, she would have won that charade. Granted, her dimwit qualities appeal to a lot of people, guess what, Obama, too has charisma, only that his bs appeals to even more people.

How was your day, Freund?[/quote]
Freundchen, obviously your dry, southern charm ain’t workin on me. So why don’t you just shoot straight?
Haven’t you guys had enough of con artist lawyer scum? People like Obama and the Clintons have no principles because law school taught them this → Right and wrong are meaningless, its what you can get away with.
Those people are dogs, pack animals devouring a great country. We need people with morals, people who ACTUALLY BELIEVE IN THIS COUNTRY.
People like Obama, the Clintons, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Durban, belong in prison, not running the country.
