Honestly I didn’t see any “casting punches” (as demonstrated in the video) thrown by Fedor in those video clips. For the most part he was throwing overhand rights as his entries.
I also don’t really like the mechanics of those casting punches. They’re probably a fairly safe method of punching (in terms of likelihood of damaging the hands) and are very “whippy”, but they don’t look like they’re very biomechanically efficient or have too much power (judging by how the pad holder’s arm reacts at impact).
But hey, if they work for some people then that’s really all that matters.
