She pulled it off. Hell I will admit to being somewhat sexist about action movies. If the chick is going to be the Superhero-Hero (taking out 5 guys, jumping off bridges) I need her to convince me with her acting or lack of a better word “Vibe/Swagger”. Jolie did it (up till the dressing up like a russian male soldier) That almost killed the effect becasue she just looked so freaking tiny.

Few Actresses can pull that off.
I gotta say though that it was the best “female to male” makeup job that I have ever seen. Up close, you would know…but from 20 feet away, I bet you would just think it was a feminine acting guy.
you guys thought the disguise was good?
Yes considering it was woman to man and I also said from “20 feet away”.

Up close, you will see nearly ANY makeup job.

From far off, she looks like the same doofusses who were on Saved By the Bell.

Funny “ha ha” or funny “smirk”?

Yes, I give 2 internet points for the joke…but you still have to admit that you haven’t seen better than that yet. She even had her hands done.

I lol’d.

Anonym…they wear glasses for a reason. It wouldn’t work without them.

She wore no face wear and still pulled it off…and yes, that does say something.

Don’t be hating now, just busting out the classics.

HAHA!

Parts of Salt were filmed in my hometown, Smallbany (Albany), NY

doh!
he said female to male.
if you’re putting up classics, you might as well throw in milton berle, tony curtis and jack lemmon.

anyhoo, franka potente, the actress who played bourne’s girl, started out with potential as a good female action star. she did well in run lola run and the princess and the warrior. she was a watered down version of a competent heroine by the time she crossed over into mainstream american movies. oh well.

also years ago anne parillaud as nikita was a good action flick that was french. sadly, they did an american version with bridget fonda that was horrible.

now they have a tv show called nikita that is supposed to be like the original french movie but it looks boring.

Derp… caught me skimming - I quoted X but had gregron’s post about ‘disguises’ in mind. I don’t know any “legit” female-to-male transformations other than Jolie’s, and wasn’t being serious with my response (though, admittedly, Big Momma’s House might’ve been too credible a reference to make that obvious).

I did like this movie, though I’m really not at all picky enough about movies to put too much thought into debating the ones mentioned thus far. I enjoy about 98% of the shit I watch.

ha! i was laughing at the pics. just pointing out a minor detail.

i loved 300, salt and every single bourne movie.

i found the knife fight in the kitchen in the second bourne movie to be awe some. what do i know about knife fights?

I just saw it and I liked it. I didn’t think AJ was a sexy as she usually is but I don’t think that’s a bad thing, it’s not what the movie or the role was about and it is good to see she can pull off a role that doesn’t have sex appeal central to it.

Totally loved this movie. It played with my expectations the whole way through.

I also loved the realism in the sense that she hatched an elaborate plan to (I’m assuming) play out her role as a sleeper assassin in order to get her husband back from the people that took him, but that it ultimately failed.

A lot of things didn’t go her way, but she prevailed anyway, and it wasn’t because of some hollywood luck-magic-coincidence that we all too often see ruin otherwise good movies (like Tron).

So lets take a poll.

Who’d you rather MORE: Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston?

Ladies feel free to participate.

Jennifer Aniston by a long shot. I’ve always had a thing for her.

o and I just got this movie, will give my opinion on it tomorrow. BTW my opinion is awesome.
