I live Houston,Tx. I do see the gang bangers sag their pants in my neighborhood but since I hang around the nicer areas in the City (Galleria Area,Heights,Montrose) I generally do not see many other people my age sag their pants.

Fuck,I see more black kids rocking the skinny jeans at the Galleria than anything. I think the hispanic group are probally the most that still sag their pants/dickies. They seriously need to step their game up sometime.
That just means you lack experience and are very isolated. I live near the Galleria area but my job is smack dab on the north side in a lower income neighborhood. At least one guy a day comes in with his pants around his ass.

Yes, this was a cultural trend/fad in the early 90’s. It came right alone the time that flat tops had died off to a large degree and shaving your head was becoming the norm. It was originally because of guys wearing clothes too big because many of the clothes designers in the late 80’s and early 90’s ignored black culture meaning most pants were tight…and needless to say, the no one was wearing tight pants back then or wanted to. That meant wearing tight jeans 3 sizes bigger so they were baggy.

Baggy jeans didn’t even become a “regular” style until the late 90’s. Add socioeconomic factors like wearing your big brother’s clothes and THAT is where this started in the general public.

You live in a more well off side of town and from the sounds of things don’t really know of much else. Why comment here when people in your own city see more than you?

I see crap like that everyday when I waiting for the bus in my neighborhood. Its kinda scary because one minute you see a guy just posting up on a stop sign then when I look away for a second and back at him again he has a sawed off in hand. Where the fuck did that come from??
Bullshit.

Straight up bullshit.

I think I seen enough from Bellaire to Aldine to everything in between to know that I dont want to hang around places (including my neighborhood) that associate itself with the type of people that are involved or are even remotely interested in “that culture” I maybe “isolated” in the areas I mention, but that’s by choice.

Sorry,I didnt know the Ward area was the only place in town that has any sort of gang activity. Ill tell you what. GO to google map,go look up Red Maple Dr. Houston,Tx and go to street view. Its not as shit as the ward but trailer parks are down there.

Good for you. My tactic is to give back to the community that I was raised in so sagging pants do not scare me. I also tend to avoid pretending like Houston is filled with people carrying sawed off shot guns n public at bus stops.

You sound like someone…I would avoid having anything to do with.

Back in the day I used to sag my pants but we were wearing it baggy back in the 90’s, (Cross Colors, Fubu, Karl Kani etc) not leotard tight like the kids now. Also we never took it to this extent some of the shit just looks plain retarded their just showcasing their boxers in most cases. I have to remind myself that some of the dumb shit I used to do as a kid looked plain retarded too. My rule is if you over 25 and your pants are down by you knees you need to be chased and beaten everyday until you get pants that fit properly.

I didn’t sag my pants b/c I was fat and always had swass and skid marks

Honestly, around me and in the cities and shitty areas around me all the “wiggers” and black “gangsta” wannabe’s wear dumb ass baggy jeans. Fucking tools. They all act trashy as shit too.

Exactly; we frisk about 600 at the club on any given night and their sagging pants don’t hide no damn weapons or drugs. Shit, we check the lining of your fucking baseball cap. These little goof balls around here are still sagging. Sagging pants just means you get the nut shot on a frisk. Anyone that knows how to frisk knows what the nut shot is

that’s such bullshit. cats limp cuz they think its cool. not because they are packing. in fact, i’d say packing and sagging pants has ZERO statistical correlation since a simple frisk will catch the gun, sagging or not. if a guy is limping and trying to get in an establishment, the .22 is likely in his tims - not his sagging ass jeans.

after you cross the street, do you check under your bed later that night?

I’m going to give you a shift at our club, so you can tell the “black gangstas” that they are “wannabe”. I’m going to film it - should be good. Are the two dozen or so little bloods we get every weekend “wannabe”?

I’ve never heard of it being from prison… and in prison you can have a belt. They issue them. If you couldn’t have something due to choking hazard, they wouldn’t get pants, shirts, sheets, towels, etc. either.
Most correctional systems don’t allow belts…pants are elastic waist. Maybe back in the day the majority were issued belts, but not now.

I think you took that outta context homie.

I didn’t directly state they weren’t really dumbass “gangstas” that actually do go around shooting people up because I didn’t want some douchebag in here calling me stupid for labeling ALL saggy pant wearing blacks and wiggers as thug gangsta killers.

Either way, they are all tools and douchebags, wannabe or not. Plus, a real gangster in my book is old school italian and irish mobster. Not some cracked out jackass with saggy pants that runs around holding a gun sideways shooting randomly that couldn’t hit the blind side of a fucking barn but thinks he’s badass because he robs innocent people and slings dope on a corner.

That aint gangster, that’s fucking douchebag.

THANK YOU. I swear we work better as a fucking team.

Some of the crap these people believe is nauseating. If you didn’t grow up around the culture or don’t deal with people who did regularly, quit acting like a damned expert on it.

In the future, if we discuss prison and Big Boss or one of the guys who has been IN prison doesn’t respond, just take the info as being bullshit.

Not entirely true. Most of your younger inmates tend to try and sag their pants(it’s not allowed in first place)…but keep in mind that your younger inmates also tend to be the ones targeted for sexual deviancy.

I think that’s a big part of misconception of sagging viewed as “you put out.”

I heard being gay makes you a homo. Any truth to that rumor?

Can soap get dirty? Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

Tell that to Suge Knight. I swear some of you are just clueless.

It is a fucking STYLE and nothing more. The fact that you read personality and mental capacity into it would be as retarded as assuming that since you are white, that you grew up in a middle to upper class household.

Yes, if someone is over 25 and still doing this, they are likely a loser. That would be because grown people have real shit to take care of that requires PANTS that don’t sit at your ankles.

Hell, half of the kids I treat lately don’t even wear shoelaces anymore. I will wait while some of you read tragic personality details into why.

so let’s examine this. first, the day of the “old school italian gangster” has past us by and, the romanticized version you believe in is a fairy tale. those old school guys would steal from thier mother if they could earn a dime doing it and would kill an alleged friend for profit.

they trafficked in drugs that are eventually filtered down to those same neighborhoods where the “gangsters” you derisively refer to “slings” the very dope the old school guys sold. they “taxed” innocent business owners, etc., in the name of making a profit. they even taxed you if you purchased or were involved in any commerce that involved an “old school” connected trade or service (concrete, trash hauling, fish market nyc in the old days, garment district, etc.) me thinks you watch too many movies, and that you believe what you see

there is no honor among thieves - only sociopathic behavior, whether they are moder day black gangsters or so called “old school” italian or irish gangsters. I know…because I know both intimately.
