I’ll address several of the recnt posts, because I am amazed at some of the mental gymnastics that are going on to attempt to couch me in terms of a troll or someone who has “outside motivation,” etc.
My motivation to post comes from a Biblical Worldview, but that is INTERNAL MOTIVATION, not external. Vroom brought up the analogy of commercialism. If I were selling something, I am gaining something in return, namely potential income. That is outside motivation. On the other hand, because I believe the Bible and have been saved, I am motivated internally to share my faith in whatever form I can.
These public forums are open to everyone that wishes to post their ideas about a wide range of subjects.
The fact is that the hate that is directed to me is just because I am a Christian that will not keep silent about his faith. It is that simple.
It is the height of hypocracy to spew garbage that I should be banned from these forums for telling others how they might know God, while those who use foul language and hate should remain on the board.
These boards do not belong to any individual, but to all who post.
Grow up, get a life, and recognize that in the free world, open discussion, debate, proclaimation, and yes, even preaching, can be done openly and in all public forums.
It’s not a cut and dried as you being persecuted for your views. I am a Christian also and I have to say I take offense at how you sometimes express your faith. The thread about Jesus or Burn is a fine example.
Ask yourself Steveo, would you find Christ talking like that?
You don’t have to do much ‘asking,’ but you can do much reading. Why don’t you open your Bible and read in the Gospels all of the references where Jesus spoke to people (usually religious hypocrites – yes, Jesus used that term) and preached Hell to them. That they would burn forever. That it will be everlasting fire. That their will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Yes, Jesus told it all – because He is a God of love and mercy, He told people what they could be saved from. So your statement is a bit of a puzzle, unless you have never read the Bible or conveniently have a memory loss for those references. My challenge to you is to go and find them and then get back to us.
Or would he reach out in love and set the example? Would there be forgiveness? I don’t care for the way you portray the Lord sometimes. He comes of as comtemptous and hateful. That’s not the Christ I know. Your ferventcy, if thats a word is not in question. Your choice of outreach I think sometimes is.
Just my opinion.
That’s fair. It is difficult to portray “emotion” and “tone” in written form. I would say that if you look at my posts, they really do reflect Bible teaching.
I disagree. You seem so busy being preoccupied with being “right” you come off EXACTLY like those you rail against. You sound like the Pharisees who preach/pray loudly in public so that all will see him and think what a devout man of religion you must be.
I’m sorry my statement puzzles you. Perhaps you are the one that needs to go back and read and find out what our Lord is all about. You act as if you have some kind of authority to preach to people in this manner. With your “fire and brimstone” and pompous righteousness. I believe if you consider yourself a disciple of Christ, you will find that his command to them was to, “love one another as I have loved you.” None of your listeners is feelin the love Steveo.
Consider my point instead of berating and belittling.

Actually, I am “preoccupied” with being Biblical. The Bible is right and when I quote it I am quoting TRUTH.
Now, as I said before…

Why don’t you read those portions where Jesus taught on Hell and eternal punishment and get back to me. Jesus didn’t allow religious hypocrites and claimers to forget that there are ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES for disbelief.
Bow or Burn…it’s what Jesus taught!
