A lot of anecdotal evidence and studies both show low test and or estrogen make tren work much more efficiently for burning fat and gaining pure muscle Which would be the exact goal of prep.
And this tren dose is damn small. So keeping the same overall total drop test some but increase tren. But if this is what Shelby wants then go witht that. Always trust your coach.
I am definitely thinking of upping the tren to 75mg EOD, and holding for a week to see how it affects me. Since Shelby has cut my carbs, I doubt that he’ll add them back in at this point, so there isn’t much he will change…diet-wise. Perhaps drop my fats some.
wasn’t the cycle Shelby’s idea? I would just do as you’re told in that case and not mess with the dosages. Trust your coach!
Yessir. If I were going to change it, I’d definitely bring it up to him first to get his thoughts.

he will tell you there is no need
Alright, I won’t bring it up then.
I just sent him an update with pictures, last one was five days ago.
I just did an update with Shelby. Of course, he agreed that I look MUCH better than earlier this week. It would be hard not to look better than I did haha.
Carbs are remaining at zero. Clen up to 80mcg/day and T3 up to 50mcg/day.
I don’t have any issues with the zero carbs, my energy isn’t down too much and I still feel like I get plenty of food in my belly…as long as I don’t sit and think about food all day. =)
Leaving for the gym now, I’m going to be doing a second leg day, consisting of pump work for the most part.

Morning Bodyweight: 186.0
AM Cardio: 30 minutes on recumbent bicycle.
I hate this bitch. It’s all I have right now (without going to a gym) and I cannot stand doing cardio seated. It just feels strange and it’s a pain in my ass, literally. I’m probably going to go for a walk outside instead tomorrow morning.
Cardio was also bumped to 60 minutes/day from 45/day. I’ll likely do 40 in the morning and 20 postworkout for most days.
Workout: Second Leg Day, Pump Work.
A) Seated Leg Curl: 4x15
-Perfect rep
-Pause at peak, controlled & full eccentric
-60 seconds rest
B1) Machine Adduction: 3x10
-Pause at peak
B2) Bodyweight Lunge: 3x12
-Hamstring Focus
60 second rest
C1) Machine Leg Press: 4x20
-Constant tension
-Emphasis on left leg
D) Leg Extension: 4x20
-2 sets for rectus femoris
-2 sets for vastus medialis
-60 seconds rest
E) Ab Machine: 2x20
-Nothing much, just to get some work in.
A bit of posing practice.
20 minutes LISS on treadmill.
Good workout overall, legs are definitely becoming more vascular. Still no problem with zero carbs. Energy is alright throughout the day, but I do get a bit tired at times, so I take a nap and I feel fine.
Leaner every single day! Motivation is really up as I see the small, but definite changes in my body. =)
AM Bodyweight: 187.5
AM Cardio: 45 minutes of walking with Mom along with Little Arkansas River that runs through Wichita.
Workout: Back; lower lats & spinal erectors.
A1) Seated Calves: Sets of 10 until failure, then 10 partials, drop weight by ½ and repeat
A2) Dorsiflexion: Sets of 15 with ½ the weight of calf raise.
B) Pull-Ups: 2x12
-Envision a RDB pose
C) Reverse Grip Pulldowns: 3x12
-Constant Tension, not quite full extension
D) Single Arm Pulldown, Reverse Grip: 2x8
-Get a stretch on each rep
-Pause at peak
F) Nautilus Machine Row: 3x10
-Pull into low lats
F2) Machine Pullover: 2x12
-Drive back hard with elbows
-Get a good stretch
E) Low Cable Row: 2x10
-Pull to low chest
G) Hyperextension: 2 sets
-Grab 25lbs pump out as many as possible, drop the weight and go to failure
H) DB Shrug: 2x25
-Pause at peak
-3 second descent
Posing for about 8 minutes, I got some pictures, but the angle was WAY too low so they look like ass and the camera wasn’t focusing for some reason. I may post one or two in a bit.
20 minutes LISS on treadmill.
Great day overall. I’m certain that my lower lats will hurt tomorrow. I don’t usually focus an entire workout on them (I do focus certain exercises on them in most back workouts) so the extra work, despite being light, should be a shock to them. I do think that they are a definite area that needs more ‘pop’ to it.
Diet is going splendidly! I’m staying busy enough so that I’m not starving or counting the time until my next meal so it isn’t hard to eat exactly what I need to eat. I have had about 4-5oz of extra meat (lean steak) today (yes, cheating) but I feel that I am making the progress to justify it. I also have done a bit more cardio (~5-10 minutes/day) to make up for something that minor off of my diet plan. I feel fine without my zero carb days. I am at 6 days in a row now, and it should be that way for a while since I need to lean out more. I am definitely on pace for 6 weeks out today. Each day I can see and feel changes in my body (good changes) so I am happy without carbs until that comes to a halt.
C2) DB Hammer Curl:
-Both arms, full extension, pause at peak and flex.
30x10x2
20x10x2
D1) EZ Bar Preacher Curl:
-Contract at peak contraction.
60x8x4
D2) Reverse Grip EZ Bar Curl:
-Full extension, only curl halfway.
60x10x4
Great workout! I tried to flex throughout in various poses for practice. I am beginning to get separation between my brachialis and biceps heads =D Also the short head of my triceps is beginning to show/actually grow. The single arm cable extensions were great for the short head.
Did some posing for about 10 minutes in the back room.
Finished with 20 minutes of LISS on treadmill (12.5% incline, 3.0mph).
9 days no carbs and I’m doing alright. Lower abs are coming in and everything seems to be tightening up quite nicely! I am 5.5 weeks out tomorrow and it’s time to kick it into high gear. I’m back in my apartment in Atlanta (been gone for 10 days) and I don’t have plans to go anywhere else, I may not even drive up an hour to see my parents until after my show so that I can divert all of my attention/effort to my prep. I am determined to be shredded at my show.

Do you have any mental fatigue or moodiness from being carbless?
Somewhat. In terms of overall fatigue, I’ve been taking naps, but I’ve always liked to do that. Moodiness is also increased, but I’m not certain if that is from being carbless or my cycle since they began close to the same time. I cannot really comment on mental fatigue since I haven’t done much to tax my brain (compared to what it has been used to) since finishing my bachelors.
