Appreciate it. Need MOAR
Floor press:
135x10,
155x6
185x5
205x5
225x5
245x5
265x3+2+1
225x2x3
DB flat press:
100x2x10 1x9 80x2x12
30* incline twist press:
80x2x9, 1x8 65x12,11
15* power fly:
60x2x9 1x8 50x2x10 (held strech for 1-2sec) shoulder was feeling a bit iffy with these today
High to low cable x-over (wrist broke back touch heels of hand together held squeeze for 1-2 sec on most reps. 20-30sec rest: 60x10,10,10,10
Machine Press: 16 full reps 6 top partials for da pump
Extreme strech
Rope pressdown aprart: (held contraction/pump)
72x13/7
84x10/7
96x2x7/4
Cable overhead extension/ez low incline overhead ext: 3 sets high reps
1 set of high rep reverse pressdown/pressdown
Fairly good workout. PR on the 100s for reps. My pressing sucks. Its by far the slowest lifts for me to increase. I think it has to do wiht my arms being way to long compared to everything else. Oh well. Small progress here and there i iwll take it.
Food was rice (400g carb), grapes 30g carb, english muffins (60g carb), straw berries (30g carb), cereal/rice pro pudding mixture (100g carb)
Going to do deadlifts today but since i am doing them in my basement i cant go as heavy as i would like so i am thinking of doing speed deads at 65-70% of max for sets of 3 then shooting for my heavy stuff next week. I cant really drop (control fast descent) in my basment for fear of breaking the in floor heat and it torches my low back to do heavy deads and slowly set the weight down.

Ive said for so many years now—turn yourself into a blast furnace…and thats what happens over time when you build so much muscle mass to sustain.
So do you know what Dusty’s problem is right now? We cannot keep him up over 300. I want him over 300. He wants to be up over 300…he has fallen under 300 a few times now because of traveling or busy days at work…so with that amount of food taken in…a guy is still having trouble gaining weight.
Now the problem with this kind of eating for most people and it happened to me and it happened to Dusty and it will happen to everyone…youll get smooth and doughy at first (that is a 100% bonafide guarentee) until the point that you build so much muscle mass that you actually become (a machine) for lack of better words. So I screw myself royally when i get people eating like this…the majority of guys fall to the wayside and come on message boards and say “Freaking eating this way made me fat, im going back to lean and ripped”…disregarding the fact that they are now truly 10-15 pounds larger muscularly under that smoother appearance…with time (ahhhhh Time the factor that makes everything come together but this sport is so impatient i can never get Time to give me enough “time” to sway the opinion)…you keep getting bigger and then you start getting leaner…and this might take 3 years…but you will start getting leaner until that 205 guy you started out at (lets say 16%) is now 225 and 12%
The post came about in a discussion about Dusty H’s Diet
Now this is how to grow in the offseason…
Dusty posted up a days food on another board. WOW. We all could take note that this is the kind of eating DAY IN AND DAY OUT that it takes to be a champ. Complaining you can’t put size on… Are you eating grinding like this every single day without missing a meal???

Good posts and training, enjoyed them. That diet is pretty crazy. Only you would enjoy putting down that much food ![]()
Glad you enjoy them. Just got done finish 6 pages about offseason gaining at a diff site. I would link it but know That would be a no-no. Let me know if you want a link and i can send it to you. Good read if you have liked the rest. You could probably find it if you search offseason gains at a site that the author of my recent posts frequents. Much better discussion then takes place here
Deadlifts 5/2012
Deadlifts
135x10
185x10
225x6
245x3
267x3
275x3

333x5x3* (low back too pumped to continue)
*max of 1min rest inbetween sets
2 rounds of abs and 2 min on elyptical to allow lower back to be able to move again
RDL
333x3x6
315x11,10
275x11
same circuit and reseaon as above
TB explosive dead stop RDL
225x5x8 (8min total time) (5min elypticl break) 225x5x8 (6min) (5min break) 225x5x8 (6min)
15min cool down
WOrkout kinda sucked because of my lower back. I literally got to the point with conventionals where i could barely bend over it really sucked. So i did some abs and elyptical to keep legs warm until i felt normal. 333 is the most i have ever done for RDL. I could do more reps but considering my back as soon as form felt just a bit off i stopped the set. I pushed 315 a bit more but again low back hindering really pushing it. The explosive trap bar is my favorite posterior chian movement now. Dunno if anyone has had a glute pump before but my glutes/hams were insanely pumped. THe dead stop and explosion is great. You can really kick your hips back. The movement feels much more natural and i can engage my back better and keep a much tithgter back so my back feels no pain wiht this. Of course the weight is low but with conventionals my lower back would of been pumped beyond belief even at that low weight.
Eating way to much food tonight

Incline overhead ext/ DB cross body: 3 sets 13-14/8 (heavier than last week
Overhead rope ext/KB bottoms up hammer: 4x9-11/8-10
Preacher machin curl: 7x8-10 +20lbs x 5 (30 sec rest between all sets Extreme bicep stretch after
Vbar pressdown: 7x8-10 +20lbs x6 (same as above. Tricep stretch)
The pump again was nuts. Barely new what to do with it. Damn painful. I was not expecting much from this workout since i worked outside all day. 'Tilling the garden which is quite large and sucked because the ground was pretty tough. Then raked and moved the dirt around for the rows. Hopefully some of the stuff will have grown and produced soem foodz before i leave. Got a great sun burn on my back.
Dips were good today. Coming up on 1.5 x BW for reps soon. Cant wait. Goal is to get to 2x bw at some point. Nothing serious today. Just walking and some DB snatches maybe some light back squatting for giggles. Shoulder traps tomorrow cant wait!
Session looks awesome, dips and EZ curls sound very strong indeed.
That’s a lot of fuckin rice

Thanks man. The ez curls look better on paper i think the bar is light. Its one of those silver ones. My normal gym has a black colored one that i have to use 10lbs less or so. But either way i did more than last week ![]()

That is a ton of rice. I am not sure if that is a dry measure or not if its dry measure then that is beyond even my capacity.
I hope he’s talking about cooked rice. Even then that’s a whole plate by itself piled pretty high…of just RICE

Apprecaite it steely. My two favorite things
Rice of awesome.
When I was young I was afraid of rice. I had a rattle that was full of rice that broke and I thought rice was sleeping maggots.
Legs today in Osceola, letme know if you would like to join… If not cool just wanted to let you know i am running an expieriment with the diet i did for only a week. Did a week of 2 days on 1 off and lost 3 lbs, probably just water weight, but as we both know i have no will power to do a extended diet
