This fuckin guy!

You can’t even differentiate between russian propaganda and reality, yet you think yourself a writing style sleuth?

They’re both well known and politically significantly different posters.

I don’t think I’d describe any of us posting on this board quite that way…

Well I mean, at least we’re relatively cognizant and somewhat literate.

Or, more likely, you are the Russian stooge and @ins and @loppar are much more trusted around here.

If you truly do live in the US I pray you don’t vote and haven’t procreated for the sake of everyone.

I appreciate your more local perspective. It’s easy to armchair preach from the comfort of our Lay Z boys here in the US where we have a lot in abundance.
Did not know Bulgaria was helping Ukraine but makes perfect sense.

This might very well be an unpopular opinion here as well.

First and foremost the war in Ukraine started February 20, 2014 when Russia invaded Crimea and annexed it. The world stood by and did nothing which is to some degree why Ukraine are being invaded again. Ukraine and Russia has pr default been at war since 2014 and in that time the west did nothing to stop Russia or help Ukraine. When Russia invaded again last year I don’t think Putin expected anyone to help Ukraine this time neither and to some extent he was right. Setting up trade embargos and sending military machinery is in my opinion a weak response. Putin doesnt care about trade embargos and sure the machinery does help out but it’s like watching your friend getting attacked by a pack of lions and then throwing him a stick to defend himself with. As long as the west does’nt intervene Russia isn’t stopping.

The right response should have come when Russia invaded Crimea and that response should have been overwhelming. Putin is like a child. He’s poking the dog to see how far he can push it before there is a backlash. The longer he’s able to poke, the bolder he gets.

In my point of view NATO in it’s entirety needs to prepare for all out war with Russia, right now and that would have been the right response from the beginning. When Putin becomes aware of this he will threaten with nukes to try and deter NATO from engaging. Which is what he has been doing for quite some time now.

Maybe he will use them but that should not deter NATO and the world for that matter to unite against this behavior. He needs to be put down like the rabid dog he is at all costs. Even though Ukraine are fighting back and giving Russia hell I don’t believe Ukraine can ever win unless they get outside help in the form of troops alongside tanks etc. They need manpower - an overwhelming amount of manpower and tanks etc. When Ukraine falls and Putin decides to keep pushing further into Europe one country at a time what will the response from NATO be then I wonder. The same I assume because NATO and the world has already shown their reluctance to step up in the face of potential nuclear war. If NATO and the world isn’t prepared for that then Putin will be able to take over the world one country at a time. The line was crossed on Crimea and absolutely so without any question when he invaded again last year. There are no more lines to for him to cross. NATO and whom ever will stand by us needs to prepare for war. Give Putin notice to withdraw or we will intervene come what may and then send proper help when he refuses. Putin might be an idiot but he’s smart and he knows what repercussions to expect if he opens his nuclear arsenal - just like he knew the nobody would intervene when he invaded for the second time. He knows that if he goes nuclear that him dreams of re-establishing Russia to it’s glory days will be forever gone as Russia will be nothing but a blood stain of radiation for the next 10.000 years. If he’s willing to go that route then, chances are he’s willing to keep pushing into Europe once Ukraine is annexed and that means either let him or man up and stop him - even if that means nuclear war.

Millions will die and I might be amongst those alongside with my family, friends and pets. I’m not particular interested in dying. Not from old age and not from war but the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

TLDR: Putin is a rabid dog that needs a collar made of acid.

You’re a treasure chest of fun aren’t you

You seem very fragile seeing as you get triggered that easy into ad hominem attacks as a result of not being agreed with. Must be tough being THAT fragile. I can’t imagine you’re always this immature but if that’s the case then adult supervision should be arranged when you’re online.

Imagine getting upset over a strangers opinion on the internet - so weak

It is a good opinion and I disagree only at the thinking that Russia can win. Their advancement has been a few kilometers in Bahmut for 8 months now. They have lost Kharkov and Kherson. And that is with no Western attack technology. Ukraine used HiMARS a defensive system as their attack weapon and they had almost no tanks and tactical infantry machinery in their advance. Now with the Bradleys which are an excellent infantry support tool to the Leopards I have no idea how Russia will defend rural teritory. Sure urban areas will be almost impossible to advance at due to lack of numbers. But Russia has no way to win. Best case scenario for them will be to negotiate peace deal with them having Crimea, Lugansk and Donetsk. But I doubt Ukrainians will give up Crimea which will be easy to take back.

The question is not if. The question is when Russia loses and what happens afterwards. Doea FSB install another Putin like leader or the west installs someone like Navalny who is pro west and Russia reforms

Russia is actually like 70 years back in a missle technology. They cant hit anything properly this is why they have been hitting civil targets. Didnt the US last year hit a target on an asteroid with a 5 m precision on a asteroid defence simulation?

Warmongering was letting Russia take Crimea in 2014. You do realise that Russia can not nuke anyone? Their nukes if launched, which I doubt they can successfully launch a nuke. If they do it Will be blown up by anti air defence systems somewhere on the European sky. But they have close to zero chance to launch a nuke and they know it.

You should be leading the way!

You can side with russia, and they sure aren’t going to turn down a strapping 31 year old primed to fight.

Imagine the glory and sense of accomplishment you’d experience on your journey to victory! And you could come back and thumb your nose at all of the doubters too.

And in case something does go wrong (i.e. joining frontline units that have a 300% casualty rate, being thrice reconstituted), there’s always this smashing song to ease the pain of death.

Putin aims to take over the world? Has this been stated? How could that even be done?

We should all be vaporized because of some bad guy? And on top of that, while good men (becoming fewer in number) are literally doing nothing about the serious problems in the rotting United States.

I actually don’t know as much detail about others in this thread and I’m torn on the matter because of conflicting information. And no, that doesn’t make me some monster lacking in empathy who thinks nothing of people’s lives ended or destroyed because I’m not ā€œstanding with Ukraine.ā€ I’m also not ā€œstanding with Russia,ā€ nor do I think Putin is a saint.

I’m also in no way fond of Zelensky. What was he or any other Ukrainian politician doing about Ukraine’s serious social ills before this war? I’ll have to pull it up again, but the way I interpreted some translation correction for one of speeches, he feels that we should be sending our young people to die for Ukraine as are young Ukrainians. I’m sure some here know what I’m talking about it, and what I got from the correction was, ā€œhe didn’t really say we should, but he said we should or eventually will have to.ā€ I don’t know about others and their aims for their children, but I have two, want a third, and no, my aim for them is not dying for Ukraine. And considering some of the aim of some to literally endlessly supply Ukraine with manpower and weapons, my firstborn would be risking ā€œdying for Ukraineā€ in twelve years. No thanks. That on top of my already reasonable worry about raising my children in a decaying, violent, increasingly stupid and dysfunctional USA.

With that said, I think the world-domination claim needs explanation. And I believe if the truly onus is on all of us (good men doing nothing), I’m gonna pull out the cliche line, ā€œwhy don’t we all go over there and fight for Ukraine?ā€

There have been plenty of bad events for which ā€œgood menā€ in the US didn’t do jack shit for and in some cases cheered on the devastation. In fact I can find plenty of ā€œgood menā€ who morally support destructive things that have ruined or ended people’s lives.

I’m all for gathering new information or reading opposing views (without the mention of Hitler, emotional blackmail, or that ā€œwe are all gonna be speaking Russianā€). So can you explain?

Ethnic Russians, Europeans, are Mongolians? Although there are Asians residing in Russia and Russian-speaking Asians, ethnic Russians aren’t Mongolian.

Besides, why should I distrust people based on their race or ethnicity or because they reside in villages and like to be lorded over by a monarch?

Isn’t it racist not to do so? Maybe sexist. Not sure.

The irony in this statement would make Alanis Morissette jealous

As someone in the industry I can tell you for a fact this is simply untrue. It’s like when Russia during the Cold War claimed the MiG was a superior aircraft. That was proven false when the defecting pilots flew them to other nations and they were inspected bit by bit. Inferior in every way to the US equivalent.

MiGs have been shot down air to air. The US has yet to lose an F-15 (a Cold War era jet) in air to air combat.

Revealing article.

Previously in the thread, sources of information were discussed. I visit Lew Rockwell and a few others daily. Considering American media is untrustworthy, where should I go? With the information I’m getting, how can I not have a nuanced view of the situation.
