Isn’t Russian culture a slave culture? You had centuries of servitude to the Mongols. You had serfdom under a Tsar followed by serfdom to communism followed by serfdom to oligarchs.
As far as learning Russian, the only reason Russians don’t speak Japanese is because of American intervention. The effectiveness of the Russian/Soviet military was an invention of the US military industrial complex. The truth is, it has always been crap.
They win wars by surviving the winters when the non-natives can’t. That’s it.

My guess is that Russia, from what I know, and my knowledge isn’t extensive (neither is my knowledge on this war), doesn’t embrace liberal democracy and the sort of social unrest and dysfunction that comes from it. Any country that doesn’t embrace it gets Americans super angry.

Russians have been told since literally kindergarten that the reason they don’t have indoor plumbing and toilets is an super-expensive, mighty army that could reach Berlin in 48 hours and Portugal in a week. And this was the central tenet of their worldview. All that poverty, groveling in front of tsars, party officials or oligarchs was worth it because they’re Mighty Russia.
And lo and behold, it turns out the mighty Russian army is a hollowed out corrupted shell and is unable to win a war against people Russians have been deriding for centuries as retarded nazi peasants of an inferior race.

I have heard Putin more than once in speeches say he is proud of Russia’s multicultural, multiracial makeup. I think this might be window dressing, or, he actually does appreciate it, but understands whites are in charge and intend to be in charge.

I’m not on board with bashing other countries. I sort of can’t because I don’t have animosity towards them or Russia and I’m indifferent to most countries’ affairs.
I do think @loppar is informative and well read though and he has lead me to some info in the past.
As for merciless Russia bashing and dehumanization of the Russian people, no, I’m not into it. I don’t know it Loppar actually hates Russians but it appears there is some issue which I’m curious about. It’s up to him if he wants to explain or clarify this.
