Itās crazy exaggerated outrage when posters on here are condoning cars running over protestors, or saying that police should open fire indiscriminately on entire crowds when a couple small fireworks are thrown their way.

Thereās actually a very large US military base in Germany; has been there for years. Itsā our main European base of operationsā¦ We have bases all over the place man, it doesnāt mean we are their nannies - its just where our troops are so they can be deployed around the world as needed. Much like football, this is effectively Zone Coverage
Also, this RT International site reads like straight up russian propaganda half the time so I wouldnāt rely too much on itās accuracy

There are exceptions, and despite a fallacious reputation for being cultural brothers in arms it appears Aus is becoming further and further removed from US cultural archetypes
@pat If there was any modern authoritarian society I HAD to live in, iād probably choose Russiaā¦ though Russias problem with alcoholism is getting worse and worse as time goes by, itll be interesting to see the repercussions associated with this as the years go by.
Theyāre a police state (but not necessarily a nanny state)ā¦ so I suppose they could TRY banning it, but I donāt think itād work as prohibition almost never works when we refer to variables that are so culturally engrained.

Russia (and the USSR) tried to tackle the alcohol problem twice - in 1917 by instituting a an alcohol ban and in 1985 by curbing the sale of vodka.

Iām very pro-gun and consider myself a libertarian, but honestly COVID has made me re-evaluate a lot of things. āJust buy guns and do the opposite of whatever the government tells you to doā is why the US has a million COVID deaths and people injecting themselves with horse dewormer, while my state (Western Australia) has been almost completely unaffected these last 2 years.
It seems there are times when the government stepping in and imposing some initial restrictions is preferable to dying pointlessly for āmuh freedumbs.ā This whole thing has shown that if we were to get hit with a more serious pandemic, most countries would be woefully unprepared.

The US has a million covid deaths for many reasons (assuming your quoting a real number). Keep in mind due to election pressure this year, they are re-evaluating the numbers to differentiate deaths with covid, from deaths from covid. So weāll see when the new tally comes out. Second, we have 340 million people. Thatās scales to .34%, if true: deaths with and from covid.
And that point is moot anyway.
All you have done is lost rights, not gained any sort of protection. Itās a fools game and a fools calculation to give up your rights willingly to a government whose bent on power. But itās your choice. Bend the knee if you want.

Its much more realistically because the US population is fat. 78% of people who died of covid Covid were obese; our MSM is too politically correct to point this statistic out.
Is this to mean you are okay with your fellow countrymen being put in āquarantine campsā because they arenāt vaccinated? Are you okay with their freedoms being taken away for a virus with a significant survivability rate? Would you be okay if it was you who was losing your freedoms because complying with the govt violated a personal belief of yours?
