Russian Military Buildup Outside Ukraine

By the way, has anyone seen a rational explanation why a convoy of Russian vehicles could sit still for days on end without being attacked? Seems to me like the might of the Ukrainian resistance must be greatly exaggerated.

How would you go about attacking a Russian convoy if you were in charge of Ukraine’s defense?

Oh, ok. The misunderstanding was on my part then.

Sorry.

Yeah, he blows with the wind, but somehow manages to do it with a level of certainty that belies reality.

I’d run away, then circle around and smack my daddy in the back of the head and tell him it was Russia.

:man_shrugging:t2: Ply the russians with wheat vodka and let them wreck it themselves.

My one cousin used to import the Old Kiev. Never got so shitfaced in my life.

I don’t know the first thing about it, which is why I asked if anyone has a good explanation. I hear about them shooting down Russian jets and killing thousands of their soldiers, so why was that convoy left untouched? Because of Russian air superiority I suppose, but couldn’t you use ground artillery to hit them? Like I said, not very knowledgeable about military matters.

If you look at TikTok (yes, TikTok), Telegram or Twitter you’ll find ample evidence of smaller elements of this convoy engaged and/or destroyed.

I think @SkyzykS has the right idea of using A-10’s to light that whole convoy up. Start from the ends to block them in then do the old Lady and the Tramp maneuver in the middle.

TikTok huh? Damn I feel old.

And where is the footage of all these soldiers shooting at each other? Thousands of them in all out war in this day and age, I would have thought I’d see more video around.

It’s because this war isn’t being fought in America that there isn’t more video footage of it.

If this war was happening in Southern California, there would be 20 rooskies shooting at the only republican in sight - with 150+ people recording it on their phone for likes.

EDIT: at least when the people recording the shootout post the video, it will be with ā€œthoughts and prayersā€ though!

Here’s a Twitter account tracking equipment losses, no gore pictures that are frequent on Telegram channels.

Ukrainians have iPhones and internet too you know. lol

If people are wondering why the entire column isn’t a smoldering trail of destruction like the Highway of Death in the 1991 Gulf War it is because Ukraine lacks the full-spectrum capability of the USA and Russia has nukes.

It’s the same basic reason why a no-fly zone maintained by the USA can’t simply be imposed in a similar way to other such actions in recent decades.

Russia can impose consequences that none of those other guys could. Having SAMs on Russian soil covering Ukrainian airspace is a strong position for Russia when they also have nukes.

They would also need some Attack/Fighters to engage any Russian fighter jets that might try to disrupt the brapathon, but yeah.

Its the Mullet Maneuver. Business up front, party in the back.

ā€œObligatory Disclaimerā€ i know jack shit about military strategy or air combat, or anything else, so I dont want to hear from any 4 star internet generals about how dumb that is.

I’m aware, I think you were missing the point. Americans, at least many of our lesser brained folk, are far more prone to stand by and watch a gang rape while recording it on their phone than they are to step in and intervene.

Millenials and Gen Z are so worthless that they would just be recording Russian troops invading their towns/cities instead of fighting back. The closest thing to adversarial they would be is using passive aggressive emojis.
:face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :rage: :broken_heart:

Ok, this made me laugh

Getting the A-10s in there would require air superiority, which would require striking targets on Russian soil.

Russian air defense would have zero problems knocking A-10s out of the sky. They are not Mujahadeen in caves.

Ah yes, children of their age I suppose.

Oh, yeah. Acknowledged.

And russia knows all about those Mujahideen.

Thats who we used in the proxy war to bleed them to death in the 80’s. Scrappy bastards.

In fact, you could even hypothesize that Putin has done to us what we did to them in order to bring about the fall of the USSR.

And you’d be closer to the truth than most.

The timing of all of this is no coincidence at all.

I miss Hitch. He gets into Putin in the last couple of minutes there, but the whole thing is worth listening to. We never learn do we, how dangerous dictatorship is.
