The only way I can answer this is that they have the ability to, and each tribe or nation needed at least some space to begin with.
You think you are capable (under better circumstances) of genuinely caring for all Americans? Iām asking because Iām a little confused if you are referring to the people of America, the government, or the mythological idea of the collective (without individual reference) when you talk about being patriotic. I agree with you on the faux concern for Eastern Europe, I just doubt even their concern for Americans. Who here is seriously troubled over every death by the gangs in Chicago? Even people who live there would be overwhelmed if they tried that.

Iāll add to my previous post that Iāve even met Americans who wish that Middle Easterners and Muslims worldwide were holocausted, which further has me distrusting of some peopleās supposed humanity.

The alternative to rights and land ownership would be no Society and civilization at all. There wouldnāt even be a transmission of language and ideas!
That is a totally fair point.
My big hope at this point is that Ukraine can put up enough of a fight on their own to make it a political loss for Putin and the mythical Russian juggernaut. So he drastically scales back his plan. From what Iām hearing Ukrainians might be fighting harder than Russia bargained for, or Russian military is less capable and competent than thought.

In fact in 2014 he was. A threat to remove Russia access to SWIFT was in Putinās words āa declaration of warā. This threat is possibly why he stopped at the time.
Donāt get me wrong Russia has a new system that works. But it is no where near as effective. And loosing access to SWIFT will cripple every part of Russia.
This lives only in the minds of former Soviets, and of Americans still fighting the Cold War.
Of course I would mind and would likely fight for it. But is that my ārightā or just survival? Claiming (or even purchasing) land is just an attempt to put a boundary on āthis stuff is mine because I say it isā.
