Well I’d start with nations who don’t routinely invade others, conduct coups with the intention of controlling their resources for the invading country’s benefit.
So we can start with Russia.
You know, if they weren’t there, Ukraine wouldn’t have to blow them up.
But there they are. All blown to pieces. ![]()
And your, most likely one of the brainwashed fools who believe that the Ukrainians are winning. Awesome, think how many Americans aren’t dying but a generation of fighters from the Ukraine are.
There is no winning in an invasion. There is getting rid of the invaders or being overtaken.
Right now, they’re at a stand still on the conflict line, but getting rid of the invaders and destroying their ability to carry out an invasion at an amazing clip.
But go forth, continue breaking new ground on subjects You’re oblivious to. That doesn’t seem to stop you any other time.
What about the generation of Russians also dying? What is the point you are trying to make here? Putin condemned several million people to death with his pointless aggression. That makes him selfish and evil.
Also, I don’t know who is really winning. It doesn’t matter. The perception of losing is actually not terribly damaging to Ukraine because it is clearly in an existential, defensive conflict that it didn’t chose. You don’t stop fighting an existential, defensive conflict because you might be losing. Stopping means that you are definitely losing.
For Russia and its supporters, on the other hand, the perception of winning is critical. In a war of aggression, the perception that you are losing is fatal, since it suggests that you have made a mistake in starting the war in the first place and should withdraw. Which raises the question: why do you, @castoli1971, care so much about who is winning or losing? Do you want Russia to take over all of Ukraine? Why or why not? Do you want to see a broader war? Do you think Putin is a good and just leader?
Right back atcha! Keep swallowing your daily propaganda and getting it wrong right from the start.
Bwahahahaha…man you are delusional!
Several million people? In the Ukraine war?
Ukraine can’t win. However they turned down a peace deal, sentencing more of there people to death. Russia is winning and will win despite military and monetary help from America.
Yeah trying to keep NATO(a hostile organization to them) from knocking on his backdoor is pointless.
And it also means no more of your people meet their maker.
Ahhh no. But can understand his willingness to try and stop the bombing of the Donbas region and preventing NATO from encroaching in his backyard.
Ahhh no!
I’m just stating facts and read all of the Ukraine propaganda on here, which is appalling so I react to it.
And the threat of Ukraine joining NATO and bombing Donbas wasn’t a provocation?
Yes. One area pushes forward, another collapses. They’ve held about the same amount of groung +/- a few kilometers in either direction for quite a while.
Russia is losing soldiers at a ridiculous clip, and Ukraine is definitely doing a lot of damage to russian energy and specific manufacturing infrastructure.
If you have any evidence to the contrary, go ahead and post it to support your assertions.
Maybe your father should have pulled out.
Who exactly are these ultra-nationalists? Because for Putin literally every Ukrainian is an ultra-nationalist now.
Hell, a few days ago Russians tried to kill with an Iskander missile strike on his villa in Odessa Sergey Kivalov (right, being awarded a medal by Putin a few years back) who, besides being a corrupt POS with links to the mob, was one of the main pro-Russian figures pre-2022 (he was wounded, but survived). Now they’re claiming he’s a “rabid Ukrainian ultranationalist” on Russian TV because he wasn’t supportive of the whole genocide/invasion thing.
And if you’re referring to Azov, they’re at 5k strength as we speak.
Wait. Did Donbass want to secede?
Russia loves running into giant kill boxes where they lose thousands of troops and vehicles.
That funnel formed by the rivers flood plane is going to be contaminated with russian vehicles and body parts.

Yeah, but it’s more complicated than that. While Western letter agencies may look in astonishment at Russian willingness to incur 1:7 or 1:10 unfavorable casualty ratios (not to mention a much higher KIA/WIA ratio) and destroy their current and future force regeneration capabilities, the fact remains that the Ukrainians have to physically eliminate all those human meat assaults and Soviet-era hardware on the front line.
And that takes effort and resources, both human and technical (especially latter) on a massive scale, taking out on average 1k Russians a day, which is comparable to WW2 fighting.
Especially now when they’re going all-in before US aid reappears on the battlefield. Even a battalion sized drone support unit of the Ukrainian army - which I’m vaguely familiar with - requires a ton of technical people, literal tons of equipment as well as software (AI-supported target identification, analysis, tracking…) that’s constantly evolving in complexity. I assume the logistic chains for artillery and armored units are absolutely insane in terms of size.
I’ve been told that Russian ballistic forces - and to some extent - grandly named Russian aerospace forces are relatively capable but for typically Soviet reasons they’re focusing their efforts mostly on murdering civilians.
This “attempt” an Kharkhiv is part of a broader PR/strategic effort - not military - to disrupt Western support and undermine the local economy. Ukraine is a big country, roughly the size of Texas, and Kharkhiv had a pre-invasion population roughly comparable to Philly. They haven’t even reached the Ukrainian defense positions who are roughly 3 to 7 miles behind the actual border line to create a narrative in the information space that Russia is constantly on the offensive and therefore unbeatable.
Which in turn would provide Russian advocates in the West talking points about supposed Russian invincibility.
But I understand that some of the reasons Mike Johnson flipped on the aid package were confidential intel briefings showing that the colloquial bad guys are rallying behind Russia’s war effort. If Ukrainian positions are being attacked by Cubans (yes, Cubans) on Chinese ATV, supported by Iranian drones and North Korean artillery, obviously something bigger is at stake.
Yeah, its definitely fleshing out to be a real multi-national effort. Some people who are more knowledgeable and experienced with war are saying its basically WW 3, without calling it that. But in essence, it is. The battlefield is, at this point, Ukraine. But the resource pool is deep and broad.
Keep up the good work!
I’ve never met Darwin but have some of his less famous equivalents.
Guys who two years ago were cringey teenage gamers now have racked up bodycounts that dwarf anything even the most experienced SOF operator could produce during his entire career.
Russia is getting annihilated and the “we’re allies with china!” game that is 2 zero sum players wrangling for an advantage is about to strangle them.
