You must have zero clue how this works. This will not benefit the class of people being pillaged via taxes and debt in the US. This will benefit the ultra-wealthy and political cronies in the Ukraine and US.
You are missing the entire point why so many of us are against this. It has nothing to do with Ukraine, but our internal issues and structure. The US government / âleadersâ do not give a flying fuck about the Ukraine or the people dying. It is all about money.

The income for these companies will be taxed as well. People will be hired. US is not Russian oligarhs or Russia. You have no clue how business with Russia works. My country got scammed with 2 billions from Russia for this project alone. Currently Lukoil is earning around a billion an year from oil in my country, they have never paid taxes and they decreased salaries of the workers. Currently my country is taking away they concession contract, good that we have a pro European government, because previous governments were taking bribes to close their eyes.
So please give me American companies instead of Russian.

The Ukraine is not our problem. It is just another country in a long list of them that will be used as an excuse to fleece the American tax payer some more to line the pockets of the ultra wealthy and political cronies.

Exactly, the US corporate/political machine is seeking more dollars to line the pockets of much much less than 0.1% of the US population. Meanwhile, more debt, falling further behind in math and science education, illiteracy rates are going up, most can barely afford rent + food, etcâŠMy little neighborhood in FL is well off. if I drive 12 miles north (in the same county), desperation and despair are rampant. I would rather fix that before âfixingâ Ukraine.

And if money was spent in the US on US infrastructure - all the money would go to US contractors and workers - here in the US and our country would be better off.

I remember Bush saying that we would pay for his war with Iraqi oil. Did that happen? Trump said Mexico would pay for the wall, which didnât get built and if it had, it would have been paid for by tax payers here.
In my state, and Iâm sure in others, lottery money used to go to education. That lasted a few years and it now goes into the general fund which means it can be spent on anything. I wouldnât trust any of these people with any revenue that gets generated. They act like the mafia* when it comes to money.
*The mafia doesnât exist.

You seem to not understand Russian propaganda. Less than 0.1% of your tax payer money goes to Ukraine. And it goes on already made and not in use weaponry that would otherwise rust in depos.

I know what percentage it is and it should be 0.00%. We have sent newer systems as well and shipping and moving all of this equipment is not cheap.

No, I really mean it. These are Marxist arguments which I find kind of ironic.
Marx himself stated that foreign empires - the British one first and foremost - the returns capitalists made from the colonies were less than the governments of said empires spent administrating them (he uses an example of the British in India), so that in his opinion the governments were basically subsidizing the finances of the tiny ruling elite by sending funds abroad. He also espoused the view that any financial benefit from either colonialism or FDI (he didnât call the latter FDI of course, but used the example of American and European direct investments in South America) to the state or private enteprises were immoral by definition as they will not address the ills facing the domestic proletariat which is ruined by government money being spent abroad, potential social benefits nonwithstanding.
Thatâs why the US was so much better off in the early 1930ies during isolationism than in the 1950ies when it was spending massive sums on itâs newly acquired empire.
But hey, if you guys donât want an empire and intentionally want to be worse off, then the Chinese will jump in your place.

We were directly involved. Men were fighting the women were working and saving all of their money.
To rebuild Europe was buying from US factories andâŠ.those are gone so, there will be no major exports of goods or new jobs.
Out of fear the US also spent on new R&D for the military which also created many jobs. Will that happen again? No.
This will only help the rich get richer while the average citizen is once again screwed.
