Russian Military Buildup Outside Ukraine

I blame myself. In real life, I avoid people stumbling aroung in the streets, mumbling incoherent nonsense. Good luck to you man.

Literally not a single thing that you’ve said is anywhere near true.

Did you listen to Prigozhin’s update this morning? I did. He is literally saying that if he had been allowed to lead the initial (Feb 24, 2022) offensive, he would have rolled Ukraine in a week (and his ability to get about 200km from Moscow in a day is proof). And the only reason he didn’t is because the Russian MoD got in his way. As in, a year and a half later, Prigozhin is still claiming that he could roll over Ukraine in a week.

The puzzling and inspiring thing about you is that in spite of all the rabid misinformation about the war, you’ve managed to hold onto your own personal brand of wrong that doesn’t agree with any narrative but also lacks any sort of foundation in reality. It’s frankly amazing.

I heard someone today say that blackrock will be bigger than JP Morgan

not sure if i believe that or not

I have a feeling when it is all said and done - Zelensky will meet an unfortunate untimely end.

I DEFINITELY do not share it. I can’t imagine he hasn’t done exactly what the folks in charge have told him to every step of the way.

Right, but he knows too much and when he’s no longer needed he’s nothing but a liability.

Okay. I’ll give you that, IF they can set it up to make one of their enemies look responsible.

In spite of wishcasting by some, ok, someone, this war has been over for a while now, and Russia is toast.

It’s all about the money now, and the divvying up of spoils. This war will end when there’s more money to be made by ā€œreconstructionā€.

Please do not be idiots buying a propaganda. As I said the war is 250 km away from me. It is not about the money.

It is for the people that can put an end to it.

And who would these folks in charge be?

I fucking love how we’re being Westplained by people who’ve watched a few videos. But in a way, besides old-school imperialism it was also about the money, as Prigozhin of all people admitted ih his coup speech. The Russian oligarchs made billions in plundering the industrial heartlands in Donbas from 2014 onwards and in Feb of 22 wanted to repeat this on a fifty times larger scale while Putin was following his imperialist fever dreams.

I don’t think you understand that Ukrainians would not stop fighting even if US stopped all support tomorrow. This isn’t Afghanistan where it would be over in a day if the US would stop supporting a brittle government.

There’s simply no other option due to a very real threat of biological annihilation. Everyone has either a friend or a relative that are/were under the Russians and know the gruesome details about mass killings, rapes, public hangings and stealing of children. And to top it off, Russian state media is completely transparent about the hows and whys of ā€œwe’ll kill all of youā€.

So if tomorrow US Administration would say - ā€œyes, Jordan Peterson was right, Putin invaded Ukraine to thwart a woke agenda and we’re stopping all supportā€ it would only make war bloodier.

If US stops supporting tomorrow, Eastern Europe will support. Everybody in Eastern Europe is fed up with Russia. Poland cant wait. Scandinavians cant wait. Baltic countries cant wait. If it is someone keeping the situation calm, it is NATO and US. Otherwise Poland would have invaded.

Russian propaganda booklets for their own soldiers in a captured trench, titled ā€œthis is the difference (this is how we differ)ā€.

I mean, what’s the downside for being part of the gay West - you apparently get a lot of hot tub action, an open (yet loving) relationship and a really, really freaky threesome on the side. In a hot tub again no less.

Or you can undress yourself in front of a priest in a more traditional setting.

I want to wear the antlers next time.

Alternate quip:

ā€œI’ve never seen so many troops surrender so quickly?!!ā€.

Couldn’t concede the point w/o a little gratuitous condescension, could 'ya? Lol. And I personally haven’t watched any of the ā€œWestplainā€ videos.

Only someone with zero self respect would not understand this. Not that the US ever would unilaterally stop support, because Biden…bribe money…crackhead son…etc.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but most people in Afghanistan were indifferent to whoever was in charge, because life sucked regardless; it was only the people being paid off by the US that pretended to ā€œfightā€.

JP is a brilliant man, and every sheeple wants his opinion on every subject, so sue him for answering from his own personal perspective. Steve Jobs was a titan of his field, a genius; I’m an ornery dumb ol’ meathead on the interwebz, but I’m pretty sure I would give better medical advice wrt treatments for cancer…

I’m going with Putin and Russia as a whole have always wanted to wipe the Ukraine off the face of the earth, it just also coincides with fortuitous developments in the Caspian Basin and gas transportation infrastructure.

big deep breath

And politicians and bankers want to, and have, made it about money.

So theres a couple things going on there.

The opportunities are few and far in between so I have to condescend whenever I can.

There’s a whole landscape of ā€œindependent thinkersā€ with podcasts/youtube videos, a tell-tale sign is that a twice-convinced sex offender and Russia State TV employee is a regular fixture.

My brother did two tours Afghanistan with the Allied contingent and his anecdotal claim is that the vast majority of Pashtuns were Taliban, and the Washington was unduly influenced by the tiny Kabul ā€œeliteā€.

On a side note, he was extremely impressed by 'Murican soldiers who were super professionally fighting an unwinnable war.

Yes, and there’s racism. Not fake woke racism, actual racism. Ethnic Russian birth rates are plummeting, and the only people reproducing in Russia are Muslim, Asian or both and ethnic Russians either fear (Muslims from the Caucasus) or despise (Asians) them. So the idea in Feb of '22 was that around 40 million misguided Little Russians (assuming a few million are killed off during denazification) could be offered the third place in the Russian racial hierarchy and prop up the numbers of non-Muslims.

Coupled that with theft of industrial assets on a colossal scale (most Soviet industrial enteprises ended up in Ukraine) for Russians it was a win-win scenario. Money to be made and the Empire restored.

Russians actually believed they were offering a good deal - it was like an abusive drug addict boyfriend trying to get his ex back with a $20 gift card and the rejection threw them into a murderous rage.

Well, Washington understands corrupt politicians, it’s like looking into a mirror -what’s not to like?

Human nature is human nature. Wars are about power and money, financial markets are about fear and greed, the default perspective of most people is delusion…

LOL.
