Russia Won't Go Away

Apparently, it takes less than a month to become a shill:

Yes.

Here’s the order:

b) The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confirmed by then-FBI Director James B. Comey in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including:

(i) any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and

(ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and

(iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a)."

Lynch was clearly a topic of Comey, but 28 CFR 600.4(a) is basically a blank check to investigate her interference.

You are confusing me for someone who does not detest Trump or who has any respect for Bush.

I merely detest liberals more.

Then the motivation for your contempt of Mueller is lost on me.

Well, if he wasn’t under investigation before, sure looks like he is now (as I mentioned after Comey’s testimony).

No, they haven’t. See below.

Pretty straightforward.[quote=“Jewbacca, post:1705, topic:226860”]

In the real world, no special counsel would construe that to mean subject matters that aren’t germane to the point of the primary investigation, as both a legal and practical matter (one reason? It becomes nearly impossible to get courts to enforce subpoenas, etc.). It just doesn’t happen, and no one reads these kinds of orders that way.[quote=“Jewbacca, post:1705, topic:226860”]

Incorrect. CFR 600.4(a) authorizes the special counsel to pursue ancillary crimes related to the investigation, like when someone destroys evidence in the course of the subject matter investigation. But the crimes must still fall under the umbrella of the subject matter of the order - it isn’t a blank check and it doesn’t widen the subject matter jurisdiction of the special counsel’s order.

No, the ball is in Trump/Session’s court to green light an investigation into the Lynch matter. Hasn’t happened yet, that I know of.

Very interesting. But it makes sense - hence all the preemptive attempts to discredit Mueller and his investigation.

Washington post? Fake news… Im sure you can find a blogger on facebook with alternative facts…
Mueller is probably pissed on how Comey was treated. Keep in mind hes a Bush guy so all this talk of him being liberal is dumb. Hes FBI before hes Dem or Reb… Trumps tweeting and interviews needs to stop or he will get caught in another lie. But he lies every week so that prolly wont happen

And I just read Vice President Pence has lawyered up.

Also noteworthy is that special counsel Mueller is expanding his investigation to look at possible money laundering.

Yes, and not at all surprising. Mueller’s climbing up the Trump clan’s ass with a microscope.

None of this matters unless it’s trump himself. This is how you drain the swamp hire a bunch of guys who end up getting fired over corruption.

Swamp drainage 101

Easiest swamp to drain is the swamp you fill.

Rosenstein released this “statement” last night. I wonder if something interesting is about to drop.

Is it normal for AGs and deputy AGs to be so active in the public discourse? It seem like the last, idk, 3+ years or so we hear a lot more from them than in years past.
