Russia Won't Go Away

After that spirit cooking fiasco no evangelical was going to vote for Hillary

Yep.

Whether they were religious, experienced, part of the “Establishment”…or fell anywhere along the “Conservative Spectrum”…

Trump pretty much smoked everyone in his path.

Just ask Jeb.

I don’t have to tell myself that. Go back and look at the breakdown of how much he won Christian voters by in the primaries. I know it might be surprising but he beat everyone with the Christian vote. And certainly he didn’t need Pence to get the Christian vote over Hillary Clinton.

Any chance you have these stats on hand? I can’t seem to find the demographics breakdown of the repub primaries. Google’s drowning in POTUS numbers

Guys nobody loves Jesus as much as Trump… Hes coo coo for Christ…

Stay woke yall totally not fake news

It is an odd phenomenon I will grant you that. Donald Trump thrice married bragging about grabbing puxxy. Nonetheless he beat every republican with evangelicals and also defeated Hillary Clinton with that group. And he didn’t need Mike Pence to do it.

There are plenty of reasons that writers give in these articles. I am not sure any of them make sense.

I’m still beyond confused why ANYONE would run alongside Pence if not for the Jesus vote. He was a failing governor in a failing state that was expected to lose his reelection campaign by a country mile. Apart from the main man Jesus, I don’t see what he brings to the table that other republicans couldn’t and then some.

I’m not saying the ONLY reason Pence was chosen was for the Jesus vote, but he’s pretty shit at everything else.

He is a stable character to Trump’s seemingly unstable character. Also, lets not forget that Kasich turned Trump down for the VP spot and there is probably a long list of others who were approached behind the scenes and sent out signals that they were not interested. Keep in mind that most thought Trump was going to lose and didn’t want to be affiliated with a losing candidate.

Interesting point. I admittedly hadn’t really considered that.

I still consider the Jesus vote to be the single biggest contributor. I don’t see a world where Pence is chosen if he wasn’t such a plus on the religion vote. Stability is a dime a dozen. Factor in his odds of winning Gov and it makes sense to get him out in favor of a real candidate. Ultimately a smart move.

Well, it certainly didn’t hurt Trump to have a real Christian as VP. But, as can be seen Trump was winning the Evangelical vote anyway. So, like I said could be all the other high profile possibilities were not going to jump on the Trump train.

Who knows?

Please, please dismiss the ‘Jesus’ vote. Don’t worry about that demographic, at all.

I never worry about the Jesus vote, I’m a straight white married college educated male. It’s pretty rare for the Jesus vote to not align with my personal interests :stuck_out_tongue:

Yet Schiff says:

Perhaps not, but one needs their votes as the voting block is huge.
Say you are running for office and you get every atheist and agnostic vote, but no ‘Jesus’ votes.
With only 8% of the population identifying as atheist or agnostic, you’d have no shot.

So like them or not, unless you are a dictator, you need the ‘Jesus’ votes the get things done.

There is still no evidence, I do wish this be put to bed already.

There’s a public hearing tomorrow with the HIC and Comey is supposed to be testifying, so we’ll see if anything definitive comes out of that.

This hearing is fascinating to watch.
