What happened at the hearing? I was out of touch all day
Comey confirmed there is a criminal investigation open, since July, into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia. He also drove, what was hopefully, the final nail in the coffin of the Trump claim that Obama wire-tapped him (it’s pretty comical to watch Comey’s and Rogers’ responses to this line of questioning).
This is all now going into the realm of the surreal.
It looks as though the President and his people are not believing anyone but the source of the allegation of the “wiretapping”…Andrew Napolitano.
So my question is this; what is he saying about his source…and the fact that no one else is finding any credible evidence of “wiretapping”?
Wow.
Napolitano has a HUGE following outside of FOX.
Any idea what he is saying to the faithful?
Things that seem to come up here and there suggest a “doubling down”…
Why am I not surprised…
Good grief…
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, secretly worked for a Russian billionaire to advance the interests of Russian President Vladimir Putin a decade ago and proposed an ambitious political strategy to undermine anti-Russian opposition across former Soviet republics, The Associated Press has learned. The work appears to contradict assertions by the Trump administration and Manafort himself that he never worked for Russian interests.
Damning.
Close your eyes and try to imagine any U.S. President or his campaign having this kind of disturbing proximity to a menacing foreign power.
Absolutely. And there are numerous clips of GOP members, Fox News, and Trump himself from last year decrying how unacceptable it was to have a presidential candidate under FBI investigation.
Yep. Any second now, I expect Sean Hannity to call for Trump to resign. Why? Because this:
This kinda shit is the exact reason I was REALLY REALLY hoping the Dems would try hard to not be hypocrites. It’s so much easier to shove articles like this down people’s throats if you’re not currently doing it.
Sean Hannity is like Trumps lap dog he wont do shit. Id say hes next in line when Spicy strokes out or gets fired for not spouting Trumps lies #putin2016
Holy shit…can you imagine the press conferences that guy would hold? If we thought Shouty Spice went off the rails…
Let’s not forget the sums involved - while Michael Flynn got a paltry US$ 60k from the Russians, Manafort was getting 10 million a year from Putin’s proxy Oleg Deripaska, not to mention all those tens of millions Deripaska allegedly lost in one of Manafort’s investment funds.
The Russians don’t give that kind of money only for some vaguely defined “consulting services”. Also, people who cross Deripaska have a habit of falling down from buildings:
Here’s an article from 2016 detailing some of Manafort’s business dealings - he’s been Trump’s business partner and confidant all the way from the 80ies.
Just ran across that news and was going to post it. In addition to this, I believe nine of the Russians named in the Steele Dossier are now dead, many due to “heart failure”.
But you agree this situation is a bit different, no? This seems like a false equivalency considering we are talking about a sitting president and/or his administration being under criminal investigation for colluding with Russia (absolutely unprecedented). The sudden urgency to fill a SCOTUS seat that has stood vacant for over a year seems pretty hollow.
One of the authors of the alleged Pro-Russia memos is Rick Davis, the guy who ran John McCain’s presidential campaign. I guess John McCain is dirty too then huh?
As I said earlier, nothing is going to come of this Russia stuff.
This is one of those news days where half the country is watching one storyline and the other is watching a completely different one.
The left: Pro-Putin memo obtained from former Trump campaign manager
The right : Islamic attack in London
Everyones watching the London attack its the lead story on all stations even fake news CNN
