Very well written post Sky. But first of all we don’t even know what he said if anything. Does it strike you as just a bit premature that we are all having this conversation about a Trump impeachment when there is not even one scintilla of evidence thus far that would indicate he has committed a high crime?
This is the lefts way of controlling the dialogue…playing the game. If they keep Trump from his agenda they win. If they can rattle Trump into saying things he shouldn’t they win (by the way this one should be easy for the left Ha) And they are exceptionally good at it. And I do agree with others who have said that Tump is his own worst enemy. The tweets YIKES!
But for now we don’t know who said what to whom or if in fact anyone said anything.
It reminds me of the Comey note.
First of all:
Is there a Comey note? It was an anonymous source so no one really knows.
What does it actually say?
If comey thought that Trump committed a felony should he have not at least reported that to his superior the AG and not wait 3 months to leak it?..if it exists that is. Why didn’t he do his duty if the note was some sort of threat?
Does Comey have notes on Obama and company?
Will all of his alleged notes be subpoenaed?
Did Comey hide behind a curtain to avoid talking to Trump as some have said? And does that and other things indicate that Comey is a nut job as Trump has said?
I’m firmly in the “I don’t know” camp as to whether or not any of the intimations, accusations, memos or any thing else are of any substance. Thats part of the reason I won’t jump on the Dems are Obstructionists bandwagon. Another part is because I don’t put anything past anybody. With Obama, I feel almost certain that the only reason he was chosen to run was because he was clean and hadn’t had enough time in any official capacity to fuck anybody too hard. Trump was legitimately brought in- rather quickly- by the populace, which is not to say that he is in any way clean. If there is any real dirt that can be thrown into play, and I do believe that there is, it will be brought in to play.
That 3 years and 9 mos. can work against him just as much as it can work for him. That is a lot of time for something to come to the surface. Who knows what could come up? Maybe Melanias boyfriend gets tired of seeing the president grab his girlfriends ass and cuts lose with something. You just can’t know. Slick Willy sure as hell didn’t know that Monica Lewinsky didn’t wash that dress.
IMO, what he was lying about is central to the issue. I don’t subscribe to the ‘perjury is perjury is perjury’ argument. Should Clinton have gotten off scot-free for lying under oath? No. He should have been censured. But given the subject, was it an offense worthy of impeachment? Only to an overwrought, frothing Republican House.
Comey is a notorious note-writer. Odds are very, very good the 302s exist.
We don’t know if he said anything to the AG. His (Comey’s) testimony will be crucial in this regard.

I can see your side of the issue. But politics being what it is no one could expect that on either side of political fence. For example, the dems won’t give Trump a break they will crucify him the very first chance they have.
Well, If so that cuts both ways. What did he write about Obama and company? If some of it comes out all of it will be coming out. Very interesting and not at all irrelevant based on what he has written down.
I don’t think it would have anything to do with the Trump investigation. But, and I know it’s a long shot, he may have written other things down that are incriminating regarding Obama or others…Either way I’d love to read all the notes that he took. I find that stuff very interesting.
I understand but I am curious as to what Comey may have written about Obama. One does not need to actually meet with someone to write down observations. For example, he may have written
“Was going to prosecute Hillary but Lynch told me today hands off after her talk with Bill.”
Granted that’s probably not one of his notes…but things like that could pop up. Again, this is very interesting stuff. Being a political junkie means that I look forward to this more than an upcoming big movie.
Don’t count on any of Trumps girlfriends coming forward and ruining his Presidency. I was literally shocked that some 15 or so women came forward with sexual harassment claims during the campaign and not only didn’t he have to drop out of the race he actually ended up winning white women by something like 53% to 47%. WHITE WOMEN! Um Hillary is a white woman. Wow…she was a baaaad candidate.

The takeaway here is not whether the Russians did or didn’t, but that once they understood Trump was in play, their instinct was to say “how do we manipulate Trump or members of his team to get what we want?”
I’m old enough to remember when it was a priority for us to elect a President that made an unfriendly nation’s first instinct to be “holy shit, just got elected - playtime’s over. He’s someone to be feared and respected.”
