Wow! I’ve been missing some superp posts! Then orion posted a retort which only serves to further ruin his weak-assed stance.
I see America this way (another analogy);
Take any ordinary neighborhood in the USA. In it, there’s any number of families living thier own quiet lives. Then one day, a pedophile moves in just down the block.
No one really notices much or pretends not to. As time goes by, the talk going on in the homes of the neighbors is about that “wierd guy down the street” and how he watches the kids walk home from school.
Until one fateful day, little Brian is late coming home from school. He’s 20 minutes late, he’s an hour late…
When he finally get’s home, he’s unusually quiet. He’s no longer the outgoing, fun kid he was the day before. His mom’s friend thinks she saw little Brian talking to “that pervert” the day he was late.
His mom knows what what must’ve happened. Brian wont say but she knows. His dad wont admit he knows because he’s too embarrassed and too afraid to do anything to make this end even though he knows it’ll happen again. Hopefully not to his boy, maybe someone else’s kid (he hopes).
But there’s this dad, two houses down that with all the rumors, the talk and the suspicion decides to do something and do it NOW! He knows that Brian’s dad wont act, in fact none of the other dads have the balls to even speak about what they know in thier hearts is going on just down the street to little, innocent boys like Brian.
This dad is big. This dad has always had a bit of a mean streak. He’s no saint, that’s for sure. He’s been to a strip club. He’s even been in a fight that he, himself started. He’s strict, he’s stern and he yells at his boy when he sees him doing the things he did when he was young.
But for all his faults, he’s a man of principle. He’s a man of action. And even though he’s far from perfect, he knows when it’s time to kick some pedophile ass. This dad, unannounced, takes a walk down the street. He rings the doorbell, the door opens and he pushes his way inside. The door closes. The sounds of breaking furniture and fists meeting face are all but ignored by the neighbors but they know what’s going on inside. One man, one admittedly imperfect man is putting and end to untold atrocities, heinous acts perpetrated on innocent boys just like his. He’s doing the job no one else was willing or able to do.
While the other neighbors sat idly by, hoping it would all stop, this dad said “Not in my fucking neighborhood, motherfucker” and decided to cure the disease.
Orion, you’re the geeky little guy down the street that spends the entire day babling on about how vicious, how violent, how barbaric the dad was all the while, in your own little way, telling us the pedophile “was just being friendly”.
No, we’re not perfect. Yes, we’ve made mistakes. But if you think we’re going to sit back and let the likes of you try and twist our history into someting that helps you sleep at night, you’re crazy.

This was an excellent analogy. I perceive most Europeans this way, as little rodents who scurry from danger. Thank God for the United States of America!!
