Started doing chins and pushups on my off days as well. Just can’t seem to will my self to do 30 mins on the treadmill right now.

Rug- Nice Seated Millies!! Good training from the Sage!

Yep…nice militaries. Question: Where are you getting the 2#? Like on 157#…
Workouts are looking good.

I didn’t think of that at first, but you could be right. When I first started really using a belt, earlier this year, I did get headaches on sets where I really strained. They have since stopped. Maybe it is something the body just adapts to!?

Merry Christmas!..just in case I am not on later.

Squat Day x3

Hampster wheel, stretching and rolling…20min

Warmup sets to 135

154x3
177x3
198x10

Box Squats 4x10@145
GM’s 4x5@145

It felt alot differant doing reg squats without having the box to touch for a guide. But, got depth and actually felt more proper, if that sounds right to anyone. Have a nice Sat.

I get the same thing on squats vs. box squats. Tend to stick my behind out more on box-squats but just sink down twixt my legs on free squats.

Just a quick question for anyone who reads this…Am I alone in that now, at my age, I can be guilt free as I gorge myself during the holidays (Thanksgiving through SuperBowl)? It’s really amazing to me how much guilt can be laid upon people by ‘others’, especially in this particular area. If more people would stick to 90-10, we’d be just fine and the ‘guilt mongers’ could just wither and die. It’s amazing how many people are always ‘on a diet’ or ‘trying to lose a few lbs’.

For the last decade, I’ve gone up to 230 in the winter and down to 175 in the summer…the latter because of some underlying itch for ‘acceptance’, or ‘normality’, or any other dumbass notion that wasn’t mine. I’ve finally arrived at the point where I just want to healthy, and I am, and lift big weights, which I’m trying to do. I don’t care if I ‘look good nekid’…and by that I mean the dumbass ‘Pitt’ look. We all know what I mean. I finally do what I do because I like it…not because someone else said I should. Another interesting note. Every year that I’ve done this, I would get people asking what did I do, How did I do it yet again. Every year same answer…Attention to detail. Of course the first reply I ALWAYS get is ‘I cant do THAT’. Well then, leave me alone, cuz i can. Sorry for the rant. Just needed to spew for a minute.

Happy Merry ChrismaHaunaKwanzaYule.

I don’t think you are alone at all. I still feel pangs of guilt, but it is related to health, not the masses. I am 40, married and have 3 kids. I could care less whether or not I have a beach bod. My only concerns are that a) I am healthy enough to be here for, and with, my family. b) that I do not sabotage my weight training efforts…if it is worth doing, it is worth doing right.

I, obviously, wouldn’t want to be so out of shape that I embarass my kids (within reason). That being said, I’ll carry the extra few pounds so that they can saw “my daddy is stronger than yours.” (Thank God my kids aren’t friends with Meat’s, Pete’s, Steve’s, etc… kids).
At my station in life, I want to enjoy it, not be teethered to misery by pursuing something deluded or unnecessary. I bet I put on 5# over the past 2 weeks. I had fun. It made my wife happy to see me eat the fruits of her labor. I’ll shave it off in the weeks to come.
Besides…carrying a few extra pounds is a lot healthier than living in constant stress over not being “perfect”.
