'Rumors of My Demise are Greatly Exagerated'

liftin and learnin. can’t beat that combo in the summertime

Congrats on the A! I hated English Comp. Just one of those things you have to do. I am sure that you will ace it.

Thanks Skip. I’m planning on it. As soon as I can wrap my head around ‘research paper’. Not there yet. My first paper was a narrative on ‘me’ and how I ended up in college. So, that wasn’t too hard.

Didn’t feel up to pulling from the floor today. Sinuses are acting up so…

Hand and Thigh Lift…AKA 1/4 Deads or lockouts.

Sets of 5 to 515

Shrugs and 45’ shrugs
3x10@205

Sinuses are now draining instead of being blocked. Not sure which I like better :frowning:

Bleachers today…9 laps

Great job, RL. Congrats on the PRs.
“Discombobulated”…that is a great word. I think I will start using that at work, every chance I get.

Thanks Sol. It would seem I’m getting the effect that I want from dips. They are helping my bench so far.

My wife called me out last week because my daughter had picked up one of my words…thingamajiggy.

My favorite language acquisition was by my daughter, when she was 4 or 5. I was mowing in 100+ weather and about to melt. She was supposed to be getting things out of my way as I did so. She had missed one of the nylon, folding chairs that had collapsed. I said, “Can you please move that damn chair.” To which she replied, “Which damn chair, Daddy?”

My neighbor across the street has kids the same age as mine. When their daughter was about 5 or 6, he said he was showing her pictures of him and his brother when they were kids. He said “…and here’s me and uncle Mike riding our bikes…” etc.

He said she was nodding her head and had this big smile on her face and pats him on the shoulder and says in the nicest, sweetest, happiest voice – “Awwww, Daddy, you’re such an asshole!”

Good presses! and I did that on a set of benchpresses once, didn’t notice anything 'till it was over… then when I moved down in weight the “heavier” side came up a lot easier than the other.

Son was 20 months… I’m holding him in one of those kitchen stores Christmas shopping. He picks up a salt grinder the bottom fell off and he’s says, clearly, distinctly, “Shit”… The ladies around me looked at me like I was the devil himself…

Son was two and picking a book off his shelf. A rather large Winnie-the-Pooh if I recall. It slips out of his hand and I cringe as I see it heading for his bare toes. Narrowly missing them, he looks down, pauses and says, “Well, fuck.”. I swear it wasn’t learned from me.
