Nice work, Wilson. And I am glad to hear that the door is still open with some of the bankers. Hopefully at least one of them will come through for you.
If you can hold a 115# db for kroc rows I think you may be selling you grip short. Glad to hear there may be a glimmer of light in your business dealings. And you’ve got Vanessa now to help see you through.
Dateline Saturday, 8:07am. 27 degrees and 4 inches of snow and still falling. Just as well be 3 feet in northeast NC. Looks like an unintended deload is in store. Dammit.

We got 1" of freezing rain, followed by 1 1/2" of sleet, followed by 6" of snow. I am already in a deload, though.
Enjoy the break…compliments of mother nature.

We got the crap before you and still got a little saturday. Clearing up today so hope it’s through there, too. Hunker down and enjoy it. Not much else to do,
Dateline Sunday 12:30pm: Bastardized push pull day (or the I gotta make up for being snowed in workout)
Bench press: barx20, 135x12, 170x10, 210x8, 240x5, 270x3(rep PR)
Kroc row: 3x115x8, 115x5
Pec Deck 3x135x8 supersetted with push ups, 10,6,6
Rear delt raise: 3x55x8
OHP: 3x115x6 supersetted with OHP lockouts: 135x6, 2x135x4
Lat pull down: 3x150x8
JM press in the Smith: 3x185x8
Since I was snowed in I decided to fold a 2 day workout into one. I could feel the strength draining towards the end of training. I was happy with 270x3. That’s the first time for me. I think I’ll have another week or so at this bench progression. Should have shot some vid. While I love pressing; you can see I did a push exercise followed by a pull.
We ended up with about 4-5 inches of snow and 1/2 inch of sleet in between. Thankfully the roads are clear and the sun is out. Still I went tits up in the driveway, trying to clean the snow off the wife’s car. I’m wondering what will hurt more, the fall or the training… I hate winter!
JW’s Sunday observation: As I watched the Sunday morning political bullshit shows, I realized, under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right.
Nice PR, Wilson. Great job!
Congratulations on the PR. Your political observation is spot on too.
I hate falling. Esp on the ice. Nothing aching or bruised today I hope. I grew up with snow and long winters and even I’m ready for spring. Very nice PR.
Good work, JW, 270 x3 is great benching.
JW- I agree with Jack…that is great benching and continued improvement! And it looks to me like Kroc Rows have taken a significant jump…I don’t have my glasses on…is that 115 for 8?!! yee gads man, nice!!
Nice work on the PR…
I see your bench and kroc rows both doing well.
Math, I am a political cynic. The older I get the more disillusioned I become with the process.
Steve, no bruises, just wounded pride. I hate winter!
Thanks Skip, Jack, Kmc, and OG. I’m trying to work at it. 2 steps ahead and 1 3/4 back…
Dateline Tuesday, 4:13 am Bastardly sore bench day
Bench press: barx20, 135x12, 170x10, 240x6, 270x2, 210x8
Incline DB press 2x60x12
Pec deck 2x135x12 super set with push ups 8,7
JM Press in the smith: 3x185x8
Triceps push down v handle: 2x140x12
I am sore from Sunday.I may have to do the bastardized push /pull/ front/ back day more often! The bench presses felt heavy as hell today. I forgot a set at 210. I guess my head was in my ass. I finished up my assistance work with sets of 12. Don’t know why I picked the reps and sets. I guess the wind just moved me that way.
Rain today, rain again Friday and Saturday. It can’t get ANY wetter in the swamps of eastern NC, only deeper. I’m sure glad I have webbed feet!
JW’s thought of the day: When God put teeth into my mouth, he ruined a perfectly good a$$hole.
Good work, JW. Sounds like its time to strap on a life jacket.

Thanks Jack, Its time for some hip boots, maybe some chest waders
Part duck are you?? Webbed feet and all. Supersetting the pec deck and the pushups burns like hell. I used to do that stuff but now I’m old and try to avoid pain.
Wait…bench again? So soon? You are a glutton for punishment. Nice work.
Killer work out and congrats on the bench PR. What really amazes me though are the kroc rows and the rear delt raises. That is some great weight you’re using on both of those. Keep it up.
Steve, all of us swamp rats have webbed feet. I’ll bet Harry’s are too!
Skip, Tuesday is my regular bench day. I’m anal about being on the schedule.
Thanks Harry, I’m really trying. I’m hoping the strong back will lead to a strong front.
Dateline, Wednesday 4:17 am Bastardly sore back training
Kroc rows: 4x115x6 (cheating like hell the whole time)
OHP, OHP lock out super sets: 3x115x8
Lat pull down: 3x150x8
Face pull: 2x90x15
Rear delt raise: 3x55x8
The damn banker wanted to talk today. It got me all out of my rhythm. I left not feeling like I accomplished much. It sure looks better on paper.
Got the all clear from the proctologist. I’m a fit and ready asshole. Seems I’m safe for 2 years from the finger wave. Looks like we are having more winter weather. That damn ground hog!! the sombitch didn’t see his shadow down here… It’s still nasty as hell!
JW’s thought: If you’ve never met the devil in the road of life, its because you’re both heading in the same direction.
Glad the proctologist visit went well. Oh, nice training as well.
