JW- I am know I am late, but Congrats on the 300!! jealous as hell…great job! Keep banging em out.
Weenie squat day: dateline Thursday 4:10 am
Squats: 135x5, 205x5, 2x225x5, 225x3
zercher: 185x3, 205x3, 225x3
Elliptical machine 12 minutes
Today’s dateline says it all. I just tried to concentrate on depth. I need to look at the film. I hate the elliptical machine, but I need to get back trying to burn some fat.
I’m late with posting today, its been a roller coaster morning, with having to plan for laying folks off, dealing with the bank, and fighting a raw material shortage. It’s been a day of extreme highs and deep lows. It’s only 11:46 am. I WISH I could relate it all here!
JW’s morning sumthinaruther: Sometimes, Iâ??ll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the f *** was going on when I first
saw it.

JW’s Morning thought: Whenever someone says “I’m not book smart, but I’m street smart”, all I can say is “I’m not real smart, but I’m imaginary smart”.
It makes a lot of sense that smartness is represented by a complex number. I know a lot of people who’s projection on the real smart axis is pert near zero, but the imaginary smart axis practically isn’t long enough (and it goes to infinity) to hold their projection. Of course, being as it’s a plane, it is possible to have negative smartness as well…
Uh…yeah…what you said :)
I’m mostly a triple dumbass
Hey! Where you hiding? When I don’t see you postin’ I start worrying that the megnetic poles are about to flip or something.
My home Internet has been down since Wed. night. so I couldn’t post over the weekend. Here is the work:
Saturday morning workout: 4:20 am
Bench Press: barx20, 135x10, 205x8, 230x6, 250x3x 260x3,275x1, 275x3
Incline DB press: 70x8, 70x5, 70x5
Pec deck 3x120x10
Push ups: 10, 6, 6
Rev grip incline in the Smith: 135x12, 185x8, 205x6
OH triceps with rope: 3x135x10
Triceps push downs with straight bar 3x135x10
Elliptical machine 11 minutes
This is the last week of this bench cycle. the work sets were the sets of 3. I did the pec deck and push ups in super sets. I also did the over head and push down triceps in super sets. I had to cinch up my waist band on the set of 275 on the bench. I guess that’s a rep PR. I have never done that many reps at that weight.
Sunday workout: 4:45am
Kroc row: 4x90x10
Hammer low: 4x90x10
Wide grip cable lat pulls: 4x135x10
Hise shrug: 315x20, 2x365x12
Elliptical machine 14 minutes
Typical back day. Nothing really exciting to report. My left grip started to fail after the 7th rep during the kroc rows. I could move up on weight, but I’m gong to have a strong left handed grip before I go heavier. Bumped some of the weight up on the other exercises. I’m trying to get the cardio back in the training in hopes of keeping my weight in check.
I didn’t train today. I slept like crap and had a lot of muscle cramps. I’ll try again tomorrow.
JW’s morning thought: Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don’t want to have to restart my collection.
Glad to see you are still with us ![]()
Nice benching and PR. What’s the plan for the next cycle?
Jwilly- what the hell is in teh water at the gym? your numbers are booming since the change…actually nothing to do with the gym…its the guy under the bar!

I dont really know. I think a few weeks of week 3 in this cycle for one day a week and then I’m going to shoot for a 325 bench press during the next cycle.
Strick- Careful Jwilly is starting to hunt on your land…325 JW? holy crap! I fold… Love the short term goal!!

Oh its brown water from the swamps. Maybe its all the tannins from the oaks and the cypresses trees. It sure isnt me! Oh I think the Biotest GPC helps some too!
JW- Save some of the brown water for me and hide the silverware… There will be a Boston invasion of NC on 1/29/10…taking my son to Chapel Hill for an unofficial visit to meet with the lacrosse coaches.

HAHA I’ll do that. I’m about 2 1/2 hours east of Chapel Hill. It’s a pretty campus. Never was a Carolina fan, my Dad went to State and I went to ASU. I hope y’all like it there. Good luck on the visit
Tuesday morning bastard chest day, dateline 4:15 am
Bench press: Barx20, 135x10, 200x8, 230x6, 250x3, 270x3, 2x275x2
Incline bench press: 2x135x12
Pec deck: 2x130x10, 130x8
Push ups: 10, 6, 6
OH triceps extension: 3x130x10
Elliptical machine: 13 minutes
I cant add worth a flip, so I mis-loaded the bar with 270x3. All I could muster at 275 was 2 sets of 2 reps. I’m done with this progression. I think I’m going to so week 3 for a few weeks but only bench 1 time per week. I’ll do some lockouts and floor presses on my second bench day. Then I’m going to do a 325 bench press progression next. I’ll probably fall flat on my face, but WTF I’m only lifting for pride and satisfaction.
Tonight is the 6th grade band Christmas concert. (I’m not politically correct, its Christmas, not the Holiday). The young’un is playing a flute solo. I’m looking forward to being a proud daddio.
JW’s morning thought:People don’t lobby Congress, dollars do.

Yeah, I noticed. I think I am going to have to go get some aluminum plates for my videos. Then I can claim a jump to 405# ![]()
That sounds great Wilson. I would LOVE to see you throw 325#, or more, up there. 'Bout the only person that’d be happier to see it would be you ![]()
Looking stronger then ever JW. Bench, squat and zerchers are all moving in the right direction. I guess hard work does pay off. Great lifting.
Great pressing, man, you’ll hammer that 325 soon.

How long have you been using it? Could/can you actually tell a difference? The GPC, not the Tannic acid in the water.

Ive used the GPC capsules for a couple of months. I can tell a big difference. I think that stuff works. The tannins work too. That’s what keeps us swamp rats 'ornery as hell.

That must be where my grrrr went. I used to get my share of it when I lived in south Georgia (Okefenokee). Ain’t none around here, though.
Bastardly quick back day, dateline Wednesday 4:10 am
Kroc rows: 3x90x10
Hammer low rows: 3x90x10
Wide grip lat pulls: 3x135x10
Hise shrugs: 3x315x15
Elliptical machine: 13 minutes
I trained quick and dirty this morning. I had to be quick, the water is rising after 2 inches of rain last night. I didn’t need to drive my truck to the gym, I needed a DUKW! I really need to change my back and shoulder routine around. I’m just searching for the right plan. At my pace I may be 55 before I find it.
JW’s morning thought: Sticks and stones may break my bones, but so would a 80lb. carrot.
