Spelled it wrong, Hise shrug. BTW, had a frat brother tell me the same thing on the overdose…

Those look cool. I will have to give those a try.

Monday morning workout

Rubber band dislocates: 15 reps
YTWL: 5 reps with10 lbs
Waterbury DB complex: 4 sets 20 lbs, 4 sets 25 lbs
Treadmill ‘fat burn’ walk: 20 minutes

I think all the pulling yesterday really balances out my shoulder. This morning there was no nagging pain during complexes. When Sunday was bench day Monday would be sore shoulder day. Looks like I have a new model. I’m really enjoying all the toys at the gym. I think this change of scenery is doing me good. I can feel a new intensity in my training. While I don’t know many at this gym and most train later than me, I think I’m going to see real gains.

I have a meeting at the Ivory Halls of the corporate headquarters. This should be real fun… UGH

JW’s morning question: How come there aren’t any good father-in-law jokes?

Great workouts JW. An all pull day is always fun. Doing heavy rackpulls will really work the entire backside.

Tuesday morning workout

Squat: Barx20, 95x20, 135x10, 205x8, 5x225x5
Hack squat: 4x295x6

Cut my leg workout short this morning. One of the guys training is a former WCU football player power lifter, and a banker at a community bank. We ended up talking about business and messed up both our training. I’m going to start getting up a little earlier to get some more morning training in. I think I can expand my training for the better. 225 felt good on my back today. Cranked out all the reps and felt good about my depth. After a few more sessions I’m going to raise the weight 20 lbs or so. Damn… here I am 'mongst all you big squatters and proud of a 225 lb squat.

JW’s morning question: Have you ever wondered what you call a pocket calculator in a nudist camp?

Thanks Eco, just trying to run a distant 5th with the likes of you and all the other really strong moo-foo’s that post on this site!!

Nice work at the new place, love the pulling!!
I hate to press, love to pull, but press better when I row more, go figure

those hise shrugs looks smart.

if your grip is lagging- kroc rows, high rep, towel pullups and hook-grip ( or pulling snatch width )
will sort you out.

Nice work here Bro!

Upper back strength stabilizes the presses. I start pressing better with repped hang cleans I’m discovering.

Like the look of the Hise shrugs. Knew your legs would get use to being out of the smith machine quick. Talking shop at the gym kills brain cells you know.

Good to see you lurking Colin!

I have to worry about those brain cells Harry… I lost a lot in college, which effected my career path… Now my career path has casued the loss of a LOT MORE!

Tuesday evening workout:

YTWL
Flat bench DB press: 2x65x10, 2x75x8
Decline Bench Press: 135x15, 3x185x6
Hammer wide chest: 3x70x10
OH triceps ext with rope: 3x100x10
Triceps push down with V attachment: 3x80x12

The daughter was at the orthodontist with the wife, so I went to the gym for an evening workout. Just threw some stuff together for an impromptu chest day. Sometime today I’m going to develop a plan and a fall back plan, as well as a plan for impromptu training. Left the gym feeling fairly good about the training.

We went to bed late last night. The daughter had me up at 3:45 with a sore mouth. The orthodontist really worked on her and her mouth was pretty sore. After she got settled back down I decided to ignore my alarm. Since tonight is ballet night, I’ll go in for an evening of pulling and some back work. So to keep with my format:

Wednesday morning workout:

Pass. Trained the insides of my eyelids

JW’s morning pondering: Being rich and it don’t mean so much . Just look at Henry Ford, all those millions and he never owned a Cadillac

JW, have you seen the new diesel crew YTWL video?? They add a couple more movements to the YTWL. (L with rotation, ski pole, scarecrows) I finally tried these today and 10 lbs never felt so heavy. I hope this works for me as well as it has for you.

I’ll take a look at it. YTWL with 10 lbs is a workout for me right now!! It’s hell on the ego!

tru dat. someday I’ll do more than 10lbs, but it wont be this month

Wed evening workout:

YTWL: 10 lbs
Snatch grip rack pulls: 135x12, 5x205x5
Chest supported row: 4x90x6
Hammer low row: 4x90x8
Hammer Lat pull down: 4x70x10
Face pull: 3x90x12

This is what I do while the daughter is in ballet class. The wife came along and walked on the treadmill. All and all a decent nights training. Rack pulls really show the weakness in my grip. going to do some plated pinches in the future. Gotta work on the grip!

Thursday morning workout

Squats: 115x20, 135x10, 4x225x5
Hack Squat machine: 2x180x15
Hise shrugs: 3x325x10

I have been miscalculating the hack squat machine. Dumb ass JW was ASSUMING the sled weighed 45 lbs. Now I’m recording just the plates I load. Trained quick this morning. May start getting up earlier to get a bit more training in. I have so much more energy during the day when I get a solid workout in first thing in the morning.

JW’s morning thought: Dont think that youre thinking. If you think that you’re thinking you only think that you’re thinking.

I can’t think that much…it hurts…that is some good lifting!

Nice work j-willy. How are the squats feeling?
Really nice shrugs!

Thanks LS, squats are feeling good. It’s good to get the weights on my back. Hell, I may need to buy a lifting belt sooner or later.

Thanks OG, I have been trying. Thankfully I lift better early mornings.

However this morning I couldn’t get motivated. I got to the end of my street and turned around and slid back in bed with the wife. I think Friday will be my ‘day off’ from now on. I guess I’m not as tough as I thought I was.

JW’s morning question: If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, doesn’t it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys deranged, models deposed, and dry cleaners depressed?
