Ouch, no Carter = big sigh of relief from the rest of the tournament. AB’s are still VERY good and dangerous, but losing Carter is probably the worst thing that could’ve happened to them. Weepu and Slade are several classes below.

Damn Wales v Ireland is going to be a good game. But the game of the quarters will be SA v Aus - as I said before what a match up for any rugby fan, particularly an AB fan. If France can change something up then we’ll have an awesome weekend next week. The ABs basically have a clear path to the Finals but you can bet there will be plenty of nervous kiwi fans in any ABs match from now on.
Australia still look like winning, despite the setback against Ireland. They, like England, are masters of peaking as the tournament progresses. NZ’s major weakness - all intensity for four years…and failing to peak where it counts.
So far been very impressed with the standard from the minnows, especially Georgia and Japan. Both must look to be serious competitors in the next 15-20 years.
It’s probably been said…but what do you call 15 men watching the RWC final on television?
