I can’t believe I’ve been reduced to arguing with a complete moron on the internet…I’ve got work to do.

More ignorance from your keyboard. The majority of Americans DO NOT closely scrutinize a candidate before they vote for him/her. That you don’t know that one fact further demonstrates the idiocy of your main argument, which is, Ron Paul could win.

Your elitist contempt for the American people disgusts me…

Mick28 may well be a dick and small man, but he is absolutely right about all this. I like Ron Paul. He’s getting my vote, but he will not win. John Adams said it best, “The masses are asses.” I suppose it is elitist, but it is also true. Is it truly that bad to be elitist if you don’t violate the rights or sovereignty of others? That said, wouldn’t you be in denial to deny that the world is full of idiots? The bulk of people vote on name recognition. This is partially why I struggle with democracy.
I can’t figure out a better system, since you cannot rightly govern without consent, but people are generally idiots and I end up having to abide by the edicts of tyrants elected by morons who can’t tell you a damn thing about the guy they just voted for except whether he has a D or an R by his name. A good chunk of those people don’t even know why they’re the party they are in except because that’s either what their parents were, or that’s what their group tells them they should be in, i.e. christians as republicans and blacks as democrats.
It’s old information, so I can no longer quote it, but it’s a well known fact that women tend to vote for more attractive candidates. Hell, my wife is a hard core libertarian and one of the smartest people I know, and she tried giving Obama a chance on that fact alone. Unfortunately for him, he’s a demagogue and won’t be getting her vote anyways. This isn’t me saying that we repeal the 19th amendment. It just means that sometimes we have to grow up and call things as they are.

More anti-American rethoric, as I would expect from a phony soldier.
How dare you look down on your sovereign, the most noble, moral and well meaning people under the sun.
Not that I do not agree with you, but I am practising mock outrage, apparently it is all the rage on E-nation now.
Maybe it is that time of the month again.

Yep, and people equate having money with being qualified, too.
They system is flawed. We don’t get coverage because the polling numbers are low; polling numbers are low because we can’t get coverage. Polls are also flawed because some people tend to vote for the perceived winner. It would be much better if media didn’t report polling data.

What does that mean? I mean…who cares if you’re disgusted? Your opinion on this forum means next to nothing. In fact, even the little turd lixy carries more weight around here than you do.
Ha ha…go away lonely lady.[/quote]
