Ronda's Log

Its really hard to tell from the side like that. I think “maybe” you need to sit back just a bit more. But like I said its hard to tell.

One Arm DB Rows 1x5x45, 2x5x55, 2x5x60

Upright Rows 1x8x40, 2x8x50, 1x8x60, 1x5x70

HS Lat Pull down 1x8x45, 2x8x70, 2x4x80

Cable Rows 1x8x80, 1x8x100

Meh, not much else to add.

Thank you for those who PM about my videos, I appreciate it alot.

Bench Press 1x8x65, 1x5x95, 1x5x115, 4x4x135, 1x1x145

T Bar Rows 1x8x55, 1x8x70, 2x8x80

HS Iso Rows 1x8x45, 1x8x90, 2x8x125, 1x4x135

Incline DB Press 1x8x35, 2x8x40

NG DB Press 1x8x35, 2x8x40

My bench press felt weak today but my DB presses felt somewhat better… I think I am just tired…

well if you go into the lift tired it will be ahrder… thats no joke.

Very impressive Ronda. I’m feeling like a weakling reading all your girls’ logs. You’re all totally killing it! One day I’ll be up there! Keep pumpin away! You look great!

Thank you sylar. We all started somewhere to get where we are, and I know I for one have a long ways to go

So day was primarily a squat practice day. I kept the weight low and worked on form and depth… which I suck at, videos to follow, yay!

95 lbs 1

My goals for all of these videos is to reach sufficent depth, put myself in the hole and not just fall in it, keep my back tight, keep the bar moving in a straight up and down line, keep my elbows under the bar, knees pressing out, stick my butt out more, take a deep breath before I go down and hold it…

I might have gotten one or two things on each video but no way did I get everything at once…

95 lb 2

You can see me try to stick my butt out in this one, lol.

Ugh I hear ya on the squats! I’ve been doing box squats just cuz my form is so much better with those. I get frustrated so easily when I can’t nail something. I’ve been told many times you will always be tweaking your squat. It’s a life long process pretty much I think. Every time you up the weight it takes a little more tweaking. Not really what I want to hear. I want to be perfect…NOW! LOL!

95lbs 3

115lb

meh…

45 lb empty bar

I may have made depth here but I fell into it at the end… :frowning:

Good goals!
Less falling down into the hole this time for sure. take a pause at the top of each rep and be sure to take a BIG breath in, get tight and really squeeze the shoulder blades together and pull the bar down tight on your back, on a few reps I don’t see you doing that, otherwise looking good. You are right, you’ll keep tweaking your squat until you die. Firebug said it best: treat light weight like heavy weight and heavy weight will be light weight.

Oh and put some weight on the bar ( :

I think you’re looking good. The only one that looked a bit awkward to me was the one where you are consciously sticking your butt out. I don’t do that. Maybe I should. I was told to start by forcing my knees out and my ass will follow. That seems to be working for me. And what Diana said about making sure your back is tight and the bar is really pulled into it.

Your depth is great.

Deadlift 1x6x135, 1x5x185, 1x5x205, 8x1x225

CG Bench Press 1x10x45, 1x5x95, 5x5x115, 1x3x125

Goblet Squat 2x8x75

Single leg split squat 2x12x20dbls

I did the 225 DLs as singles which I notice really improves my form and keeps me fresh for each lift, I like that!

I did the goblet squats and split squats alternating… I really thought I was going to black out at one point, lol. It was suggested to be to do single weight leg work with lower weights and more reps to improve my knee strength, thus the 20lb dbls. Wow, I really felt it too
I also notice that when doing goblet squats I am able to get my ass down and keep my knees pressed out the whole time while keeping good form… interesting…

Have you ever played with front squats?(with the bb)

I am more interested in mastering the back squat for now.

My knees are the issue, they hurt. What ever it is I am doing it is not right… maybe for me if I force my ass out my knees will follow :stuck_out_tongue:
