Buying clothes just sucks anyways.
I have broad shoulders and there is not a blouse made that fits them, even before I was lifting seriously.
Ronda, look for stuff made in North America. I love stores like Zara and Mango, but the clothes are from Spain and Europe and are made for anorexics. I feel bad for girls with any boobage at all, I have a hard time and I’ve got almost no chest at all.

The one thing that I really noticed when I started working out was that I could hold my purse on my shoulder with out it slipping off. That was how I knew I was making a difference in my shape. Have you noticed how halter tops tend to really make the broadness of your shoulders stick out? I have a particular halter dress and everytime I put it on all I can see are my shoulders, lol.
I would like to think that once I lose the fat and get to the bf% and/or weight I would like I won’t have this problem but the more people comment I think it may always be sort of an issue.
On a funny note, when you said you had no boobage I had gotten your screen name confused with DebraD. I was all ‘she’s got boobs?, we’ve seenthem, well of at least half of them…’ LOL! Then I went and checked and saw the diffence in names, lol.
For 3/4 length blouses, I frequently have the boa constrictor arm issue. It is very umcomfortable, and since I am on the computer all day with my arms forward, I feel like I’m about to rip the sleeves straight out.
I wear a lot of sweaters, or looser fit blouses, since I also have the boob issue.

I wear scrubs all day so usually it isn’t an issue at work except for some scrubs. I have found problems with long sleeve cotton shirts, some sweaters out this season, 3/4 length sleeves like you said, and cap sleeves. Tshirts are not to bad b/c they are usually never tight.
My boobs have shrunk w/ weight loss so at least I don’t have both issues now ![]()

LOL no my boobs have never hit the internet, to my knowledge anyways.
Halter tops and sleeveless are my best friends, but sadly it’s too damn cold now. I still wear them at the gym, I can’t stand any sleeve when I’m lifting, and my new gym is super hot all the time anyways.
DL 1x6x135, 1x5x155, 1x5x185, 3x5x205, 1x1x225, 1x1x225
CG Bench Press 1x10x45, 1x8x65, 2x5x95, 1x5x105, 3x5x115
Goblet Squat 2x8x70
BW Tricep Dips 1x4, 1x3, manyx2 I didn’t count
I have had a bad few days real life wise but I guess I can do BW dips now so that is nice tries to be positive.
I think they may still be a little high so until I mater them I am not going to stop the HS Seated Tricep dip, though I did skip it today. I probably need to make a video just so I can see how much lower I need to be able to go.
aww. Hope life settles down a bit and that good days are in site!
Bench Press 1x10x45, 1x8x65, 1x6x95, 3x5x115, 1x3x125, 1x1x135, 1x1x135, 1x1x135.
I really think I can do sets of 2 or 3 at 135 but I find myself wishing I had a spotter just incase after my one rep. If I were doing the same thing later in the after noon know I could do it just because I would be more awake but first think in the morning makes me a little skiddish…
T Bar Rows 1x8x55, 3x8x65
HS Iso Row 1x8x180, 2x6x230, 1x8x200
HS High Row 1x8x140, 2x8x180
This is where I realized I rested to long between sets during Bench Press…
Inclined DB Bench 2x10x35dbs
NG DB Bench Press 1x8x40
I need to find a way to manage my time better on Mondays so I can get everything in. I either need to not rest as long and just deal w/ not going up in wieght as fast or sacrificing one exercise per week in order to allow everything else to grow… I’m not sure yet… maybe just be there waiting for them to open Monday will give me the extra few moments I need… I’ll figure something out.
Thanks Mom-in-MD!

Good Mornings 1x12x45, 1x12x65, 2x10x85
Sometimes I like to do these and inevitablely I feel them the next day.
Seated Leg Press 1x10x90, 1x8x180, 1x6x270
3x5x360, 2x5x360 w/ pause at bottom… I was cursing everything I could think of during that pause, made the guys laugh with my frequent use of the word “fuck”
Barbell Curls 1x8x60, 2x5x60
DB Curls 1x8x30
Apparently I hate these so much that I keep forgetting to finish all 3 sets… it’s a subiliminal thing, lol.
Tricep Pull overs 1x8x40, 2x5x50
Single Leg Split squat 2x8x45dbs
These make me so dizzy by the last set, I just have to sand there w/ my eyes closed and breath.
One Arm DB Rows 1x5x40, 1x5x45, 4x5x50, 1x3x55
The 50lb DBs at my gym are newer then the 45lb and have a slightly smaller bar grip diameter making the 50lbs feel easier then the 45lbs, weird.
Upright Rows 3x8x50, 1x6x60
HS Lat Pull downs 1x8x90, 3x8x140
Corner BB Press 1x8x25, 2x8x30
Cable Rows 2x8x70
Pull ups 1x1.5 unassisted, 1x5 w/ 70 lb assist (easy) … I did these more for fun though I am going to have to work them in eventually… maybe once I am pump out 5 unassisted…
DL 1x6x135, 1x6x155, 1x5x185, 2x5x205, 1x4x215, 1x1x255 PR*

Goblet Squat 3x8x75
HS Seated Tricep dip 1x8x140, 2x8x160
I am sort of surprised at my DL and in a way I am not. Lately I have been trying to do at least one rep of my former max or a few single reps of a slightly lower weight and it really took alot of may energy out of me. So I cut out one set of my normal working set as of late, 205, and tried at 1x5x215 but only got to 1x4. Then I took a longer break and started on my CG Bench, then when I felt rested enough I just went over and picked it up. It was tough coming up but I knew I could fight it up ![]()
I’m going ot be away for the next few days, going to NYC to visit with friends. I’ll be back next week. ![]()
I will be away for the next few days in NYC with friends.
I got back last night from my NYC trip. I had such a good time with my friends and exploring the city. And the food… carbs are my enemy but they are so yummy…
I started to notice as I was away from the gym for longer then usual my torso and pectoral started to hurt. I think my body did not enjoy the rest however it did work well tonight at the gym for me, though I am tired after working 2nd shift…

DB Curls 2x8x30, 1x3x35, 1x6x30
SOme how 35 just feels like I am swinging the DB up and not actually lifting it… maybe I need 32.5lb DBs… ![]()
Tricep pull overs 2x6x60
Single Leg Split squat 2x8x45
I have no excuse as to why I didn’t do 3x8. I was just tired and decided to go home, it was 1am afterall…
In Insulin pump news…
I start on insulin Nov 5, yay! The bad part of this that I cannot go to the gym for 2 weeks… not even a brisk walk…

Plus I can only eat 3 meals a day with no snacks until they get my dosage figured out. I have no idea how I am going to manage a decent amount of protien in 3 meals plus the carbs that I may or may not need for my blood sugar pouts
I know this is for the greater good of my overall well being and health but the prospect is also very depressing to me as well. I’m not even sure what to do with myself during that time period… get a life maybe? ![]()
I guess I didn’t get my last two workouts in last week with my weird schedule. If I was going to be working the schedule permantently I would have to wrok something out but last week I choose to get the rest I needed, I am paranoid about accidentally killing somone at work because I was tired…
This week will be normal though ![]()

I’m so pleased for your deadlift PR. That’s very impressive.
Court and I were talking about you the other day at training with respect to your strong bench. This was done as we both worked on our less than stellar bench. We are impressed.

If by less than stellar she means absolute shite (at least mine) then yes, O’s statement is accurate. I said I would be so happy to be able to bench a plate! I always get excited for DL and Squat PRs so congrats!

Well thank you ladies. I really appreciate hearing that. For me the thing that I have noticed that has gotten me over my bench plateaus is tricep work. I can’t remember off hand what each of you do for triceps but it might be worth a shot ![]()
What always impresses me about each of you is your squats. I can’t seem to squat right no matter how many videos I watch and attempts I make so I have stopped altogether. I hope one day to be able to rival your squat weights ![]()
ya, Im no competition for squats either ![]()

We’re both doing tricep work. I just did more this evening. Like good little T-Nation drones we say “the key to a big bench is tricep work.” We say it in unison in really creepy voices too. I say that tongue in cheek but I have upped my tricep work. I do CG bench twice/week and dips/skulls etc once per week. It’s definately my weakness so you certainly have my admiration.
For your tricep are you going lighter with plenty 'o reps or heavier weight with few reps?

LOL! It’s true though, we could totally gang up on some unsuspecting, weak bench pressing, non-T-Nation gym person and just keep chanting the mantra in unison… maybe we can all get platnum blonde hair too… ![]()
For my triceps I do sets of 8 and 5 depending on the exercise,HS Seated tricep dip, CG Bench, or tricep pullover, each time with near max effert. Plus I do some body weight dips but those are just added in here and there as I cannot do to many at a time yet. I also practice “exploding” up w/ my bench and CG bench at a somewhat lighter weight 95-115, to add some power to the movement.
