Ron Paul Revolution

My goal would be to dismantle the entire notion of government keeping people safe.
Man, you are one naive T Nation member.

You have no idea what the CIA is or does.
And neither do you which has been proven by your next statement…

LOL

True but we do not now, nor will we ever live in an ideal world. So now what?

It’s all a big CONSPIRACY I tell you! LOL…you are singing the Ron Paul song quite well.

It’s not a conspiracy. It’s what they do.

Ask any DIA op.

ZEB, let me clue you in because I don’t think you’re really in the know what intelligence gathering is and how it is used.

First, get out of your head the silly notion that both the Central Intelligence Agency and Defense Intelligence Agency have the same mission to “keep America safe”. There is no such mission and will never be such a generically stated mission.

The DoD Intel Agency gathers info about other militaries’ capabilities. These are the guys that know which militaries might pose a real threat to the US government’s global hegemony. You could argue the point that this agency serves a purpose to “keep America safe” – if such a thing were possible.

The CIA, on the other hand, collects info about foreign government politics and where there might be instability – often they cause it purposefully for political reasons. Their deeds have nothing to do with the security of the US government but rather its global, political influence.

Sometime these two agencies work together because politics and war go hand-in-hand. The unfortunate thing is the two agencies often contradict each other. The CIA starts wars (heck, maybe even accidentally) and then the DIA has to figure out how to end it.

The citizens of the US would be much better off without a CIA interfering in the internal politics of other nations.

Think about it.

Oh yes. Our wise overlords would NEVER have their own interests at heart. Nah, they’re just selfless “men of the people” (please…) wanting to protect us. What’s so hilarious LIFTICVSMAXIMVS is that people STILL actually believe this. How naive can you get? LOL!

Nah, that is only naive when it comes from liberals.

If the same conservative who is fully aware that politicians are conniving, boondoggling, bought off bastards actually turns around and thinks that those exact same people act like, dunno, decent human beings with a halfway functioning brain and a moral compass when it comes to foreign policy, I do not know what to call this, but it is not naiveté, that is something like a self performed Jedi mind trick.

You and your buddy really don’t know the first thing about how the CIA, or the government actually works. How you got this way one can only guess. Probably the Internet has something to do with it. Half truths, crazy assumptions, wacky themes and general bull shit can all be found on the Internet. Most of us see it chuckle and move on. But you guys sit there and drool soaking it all up as if your sipping the golden nectar from the fountain of truth. Ha…funny stuff…very funny stuff.

Anyway, that’s really why I come here to be entertained and you guys do it as well as anyone. You guys and of course your hero Ron Paul.

Keep it coming guys we have about 13 more months until the Presidential election. And not nearly as much time until Ron Paul drops out of yet another Presidential race.

The Ron Paul Revolution will die once again as it did in 2008. And on it’s tomb stone should be written

“A revolution founded by a loon for loons for the sake of loony theory’s false assumptions and a political philosophy that was doomed from the start.”

Keep it rolling until there are more laughs to be had–At YOUR EXPENSE.

Well, if you think public choice theory somehow does not apply to foreign policy I am not quite sure if I can trust you to be my arbiter when it comes to who knows what.

Just thought I would point out how Ron Paul was getting laughed at for his views on our financial situations in the last election cycle - at the expense of those laughing

When it turned out that Ron Pauls portfolio was quite successful, in the range of 300 to 2000% successful over 10 years the reactions where what exactly?

First, they only reported the last 1-3 years of performance, making it look far less impressive than it really was, then they immediately moved on to how unpatriotic he was because he was basically betting on a declining US.

In related news, Art Laffer still owes Peter Schiff 1 penny.

Far, far worse…

The CIA have killed James M Buchanan now? They must be trying to hide the truth about public choice theory or something.

No, if you read Buchanan and apply it to US intelligence services you would wish for a Bourne conspiracy scenario.

Alas, the real world is neither as sweet, romantic nor innocent as such rosy fiction.

Interesting how Republican candidates will agree at times with Ron Paul. Do any of the candidates agree with another rival, at any time?

Ron Paul on immigration:

Closed borders = more illegal immigrants because they’re scared of guns or something see? Open borders means Mexicans won’t want to stay illegally in US anymore because they are no longer scared of the guns. And anyway, the border fence was designed to keep Americans in. Right?

I actually thought rons points where rather good, but then again I am a left-radical lunatic so thats maybe why I agrees with him on that subject

Firstly, I may disagree with you but I have never thought of you as any kind of radical lunatic.

Ron Paul’s argument here is essentially that the reason illegal immigrants won’t leave America and go back to Mexico is because they are scared of the guns at the border - and if the border was open there would be less illegal immigrants in America. Utter nonsense. If US opened the Mexican border and allowed free thoroughfare they’d have twice as many illegals and drug cartels/criminals/terrorists/spies would be able to enter America at will. Border towns in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California would be overrun by the drug cartels. Ron Paul has also stated that the border fence was built to keep Americans in. Ron Paul is the radical lunatic.
