So Im at the sports bar that my GF works at with her and some of her friends and I get into a conversation about the Cowboys of all things with some guy at the bar and another girl that works there. They are trying to tell me that Romo is a better(not only that but the Best) athlete and bigger(bigest) play maker than T.O.
Now I like to think I’m smarter than the average fan but come on! Who in there right mind would say something like that? As far as who the better athlete/football player is, how can anyone sit there and say Romo is the better of the two? Not taking anything away from Romo but Ill take T.O. in a decathlon of any number of random sports every time.
Now as far as the bigger play maker, that one is a bit more of a debate. My point was, yeah, Romo makes big plays but most of them go the other way. The Steelers game just the other day and the botched field goal in the playoffs, while T.O. is looking at being 2nd all time only behind Jerry Rice and teams game plan to stop him.
Am I wrong? Yes, T.O. is a cry baby and a bitch but he is still a good, dare I say a great player.
List of QBs that are better than Romo(imo)
dose not include first year starters/rookies.
Kurt Warner
Drew Brees
Peyton Manning
Philip Rivers
Donovan McNabb
Eli Manning
Brett Favre
Jeff Garcia
Jake Delhomme
Ben Roethlisberger
Kerry Collins
Tom Brady
Now b4 someone say “WFT! Delhomme? Garcia? Your fucking crazy!” Let me explain. 1st, Some of these QBs wont put up the numbers that Romo will but they wont cost you the game either. 2nd, Every one of them! every one has accomplished more than Tony Romo has.
Owens might be the better athlete, but he really hasn’t accomplished anything either. He’s a quarterback killer.
Romo’s starting to get a reputation as a choker, but I wonder if things would be different if he didn’t have Owens crying on the sideline every other game.
I don’t think two years in the league is enough to broadly interpret how good a quarterback is. That being said, Romo HAS proved (so far) that he can’t even win a somewhat important playoff game.
T.O., without question, is a better athlete. Unfortunately, I’ll agree with Skip Bayless on this one and call him Team Obliterator.
This isn’t even a debate. Aside from being a narcissistic prick, TO is the better athlete.
Romo is being exposed for the fraud he is. I expect a rapid fall from grace over the next 2 seasons. He was a media darling last season but has shown his ability to piss down his leg in big game situations.
I do tip my hat for his ability to stick his schwantz in high-end beaver. He hangs in that pocket well…
"According to multiple sources within the Dallas Cowboys, there is an emerging internal conflict involving three of the team’s highest-profile stars.
As the preseason Super Bowl favorites struggle in the final month of the season to simply make the playoffs, wide receiver Terrell Owens has expressed resentment toward Tony Romo, apparently jealous of the quarterback’s relationship with tight end Jason Witten."
This is such a knee jerk reaction…both Eli Manning and John Elway were regarded as chokers after getting swept out of the playoffs their first two years.

Good thing those teams did not overreact.

Elway never had TO as a teammate. And the Giants shipped Eli’s “TO” to New Orleans.
Garcia and Delhomme WTF? Im going to go ahead and say it. But the bottom line-- TO may be a great athelete and he is, but he also drops a lot of passes. He drops a lot he should catch and then he makes a spectacular catch. But the man is an absolute headcase.
Don’t give up on Romo yet. However, I was never one of those people that bought into the Romo hype. Finally, everyone talks about Favre (and I love Favre) but the guy only won 1 Super Bowl in a very long career and he got picked off ALOT.
UM T.O makes big plays for his own team, Romo makes big plays for the other team, something like he did for the Seahawks in the playoffs. Romo has consistently shown when he doesn’t rely on Owens, he can’t throw or make plays.
Once Romo is in the groove of the game, and the defense doesn’t know if he’s going to TO he’s great. The only way T.O. Kills teams is when he’s not playing or having the ball thrown to him. His drama is annoying but it’s never hurt his team more than his play has helped.
Jeff Garcia was before him, and average after. Donovan was great but choked in big situations before T.O, and is great but chokes in big situations post T.O. and injury.
Romo was nobody before T.O. his own coach didn’t like him. Without T.O. there would be no Romo. Point Blank.
The difference between Eli Manning, John Elway and Bret Farve to Romo is, we didn’t have to wonder about where they were going to vacation before a big playoff game(b/c they weren’t) or who they were dating at the time
Romo needs to pick, Hollywood or football. He cant have both at the same time.
You think you have a above average sports knowledge and you list these quarterbacks as better than Romo? get real. McNabb? Garcia? What constitutes an athlete? God given ability Owens is far beyond Romo, but Romo could play professional golf and having played with both of them in pick up leagues in Dallas, Romo is by far the better basketball player. Owens dropped a game winning touchdown in Washington (on a perfect pass from Romo), what does that make him? at least one of those interceptions against the Steelers WAS Owens fault. This isn’t a pick and choose Hollywood debate, it’s a debate about who is the better quarterback, and Romo is at worst 5th of all the people you listed.

Kind a puts the Roy Williams acquisition into perspective.
TO has been a cancer to every team he has played for.
Romo throws the ball more to Whitten because Whitten will actually catch the motherfucker.

Are you fucking serious?
Bret Favre was a choke monkey his first 2 or 3 years in the league.
Manning is still the biggest fucking pussy in the history of the NFL, and will probably always be. He had one good run in the playoffs. If it weren’t for the Giant defense, and a lucky as fuck catch, he would be hated in NYC.
John Elway never won the big one until his last 2 seasons in the league.
Hate on Romo if you want, but take the qb dicks out of your mouth first.

The Cowboys need to get rid of TO and pacman.

x2. Whitten also has like a 22" neck and isn’t afraid of going over the middle to catch the ball. I’ll never forget a catch he made in one game (I think they were playing Green Bay), where Whitten catches a ball in the middle of the field and immediately gets drilled helmet-to-helmet by the safety. Whitten’s helmet was knocked clean off. Unfazed, he kept running down the field and nearly scored a touchdown. TO remarked after the game that Whitten was “white chocolate.”
If Romo wants TO to catch the ball, he pretty much needs to make sure it just sticks in TO’s face mask.
