This is no mock or insult, but that is not how any of this happened. I am not up at the moment to telling you why. I am not being in any way sarcastic I assure you.

No problem. School me on why it happened. Jimmy Carter.
Yes. I know that this is a very dumbed down version of the events. But regardless, this does not take from the fact that the social conservatives have been courted for years with no ring to show for it.
You’re mad. And I don’t blame you. You have been sold lies.
The left has been sold lies as well. The worst lie of all is to consider each other enemies.

They are.

You want to do what is right for you and your family.
I want to do what is right for me and my family.
We disagree on the approach.
Well, then. I guess we are enemies if this is the way you feel.

Politically, yes.
Or you could just break down and admit that you don’t think government is the answer. If you do that you’ve just crossed the line out of the land of the left.

Answer to what?

Our problems.
- See Ronald Reagan quote above. Pay attention. Don’t make me snap your bra strap.
You think the government is going to save us all?
You think this is what those on the left think?

Indeed. I know that’s what they think because they openly express what they think.
Just like the right openly expresses that they want us all to be rabid women hating christians?

Yes, EXACTLY like that. Precisely. To the T.
Oh… I thought that fight was over. Okay. Those on the far reaches of each end of the spectrum believe this to be true. Honestly, when the left started to bring up the war on women I thought it was a bunch of shit until RL started his tirade. Really though, no one takes either extremes seriously. Or at least, I don’t.

And yes, I know Santorum is pushing lower taxes and debt reduction, too. Which, face it, is a pipe dream in our current society.
Then he’s (GASP) lying to us? Ha…he’s a politician of course he is.
Okay, I agree that our society is in decay. And I’m sure you don’t think Santorum can bring us back from the brink. Ronald Reagan couldn’t even do this. Government grew under Reagan just a little less. And as for morals, forget it my friend. Moralistically there is no one man who can “bring us back.” The toothpaste is out of the tube. We can look around there are plenty of people and organizations to blame. Where to begin? We could start with Hollywood. They’ve glamorized drugs, killing, homosexuality, sex out of wedlock and a littany of other things that help bring a nation down. But what can a President do about that? NOTHING!
Here’s how I look at it Sloth, we have what we have and that’s pretty much that. Only a miracle from God will turn this country around. For example, whenever there is a great disaster people seem to return to church. I am not wishing anything like this on our nation, but short of some act of God there is no turning back. Put another way Santorum and the rest are mere players on a stage, they are not the writers and producers.
With that said, let’s not allow Obama four more years to appoint liberal judges, do serious damage through executive order and place our nation in great peril with his naive foreign policy. Let’s at least elect a republican.
As for the rest you and I both know it’s in God’s hands not some two bit politician–And remember my friend they’re ALL two bit politicians!

By the way, does Obama’s doctrinal overriding of the Catholic Church, for example, trouble you as much as Santorum simply speaking about sexual attitudes, the health of the family, and the connection to long term prosperity?
This REALLY needs to stop…really.
How is the President going to “overide” Church Doctrine exactly?
Are he and Joe going to be at the Pharmacy “forcing” Catholics to buy Birth Control?
Do you think that for ONE INSTANT that he is going to have a Catholic Institution prosecuted that doesn’t sell and/or offer Birth Control?
I think that this is all “Pseudo-Persecution” wrapped in demogoguery.
That’s what I think.

I think you are right Muf, once again.

Then you’re wrong, also. Share the exempting language, otherwise. You can’t, because there is none? Oh, well, then they’re bound by the force of law to offend their doctrinal beliefs. Waiting on that exempting language. And waiting…and waiting…and waiting…
