Romney vs. Santorum; It's ON!

No…

It’s “Pseudo-Persecution” wrapped in demogoguery.

By the way, does Obama’s doctrinal overriding of the Catholic Church, for example, trouble you as much as Santorum simply speaking about sexual attitudes, the health of the family, and the connection to long term prosperity?
This REALLY needs to stop…really.

How is the President going to “overide” Church Doctrine exactly?

Are he and Joe going to be at the Pharmacy “forcing” Catholics to buy Birth Control?

Do you think that for ONE INSTANT that he is going to have a Catholic Institution prosecuted that doesn’t sell and/or offer Birth Control?

I think that this is all “Pseudo-Persecution” wrapped in demogoguery.

That’s what I think.

This pisses me off. Do you realize that is exactly what he’s doing? Do you not even know it’ll be MANDATED? It’ll be the law of the land? That he has flatly rejected exemptions for these religious institutions? And you’re on here worried about Santorum? “Pseudo-Persecution?” Every single Bishop has now rejected this move. Every single one. Even the ones who brought into his promise at Notre Dame that he wouldn’t pull this kind of crap.

No, it’s not. And nobody here is buying this. Not the liberals who argued on this forum in support of it, nor the conservative/libertarians who opposed it…No one. Show me you have any idea of what you’re talking about. Obama flatly rejected exemptions for these institutions. That is a cold, hard, fact. Show me I’m wrong. Show me the exempting language. Do it, or knock off this willful act of ignorance.

SURELY you never mock on T-Nation? Right?

Did I make any claims that I did not mock others at times?

Part of the reason I expect it.
Fair enough.

Now defend your outrageous claim that the Democratic Party has been moving to the right in the past 20 years.

You absolutely can have no sense of political history/perspective in order to conjure up that steaming pile. That’s something Pitttbulllll would’ve said.

Reid, Pelosi, Waters, Schumer, et al, have been moving to the right? Holy Green Sky, Batman.
Remember, you all post WND here.

Also, I am much more interested in the strategy that is being used to win the republican nomination than the actual outcome. This is really what this thread is about.

And I understand why the far right is pissed off. They have been lied to for years. There was never any intent on the party to move right on social issues.

Mock me all you want, you are pissed off and it’s not because of the left. It’s because the GOP has not come through with their promises. They never wanted to lie with you, they just wanted you in their bed.

Going back years. What is all this “you’ve been duped” crap? The Republicans are just about as slutty as the dems.

It’s because of both. I oughta know better than you. I’m on the right.

True to an extent.

Who are the people who told you things would change, but didn’t do a damn thing about it? You always knew there would be an enemy.

What does this mean?

You always knew there would be people who would fight you. If everyone agrees, what is there to fight about?

The far right (as far as I can tell) does a very good job at portraying the left as some sort of enemy. The GOP took a look around the country and chose the far right as an ally, never having an intent to serve them in any way. This worked, in the beginning because the left didn’t know what they were going against. They didn’t know if the GOP actually intended to come through on these promises. And they thought they had something too fight for. But, in reality, new boss is the same as the old boss.

Now, we are entering era where we all know that the GOP has no intent on coming through with anything that they have promised to the social conservatives. And they are getting pissed off.

And now I am coming full circle. I believe that this started by my telling Zeb that he was better off on spending his money rebranding the GOP. If I were a GOP spokesman, this is what I would do.

I’d be more pissed off at the person who told me he loved me and never delivered than the one who never loved me to begin with.
