Well then just name them. If someone is sticking to his guns he’s doing because he’ll get reelected by doing it. In other words, he/she does it for gain.
Now get busy and name all those with integrity. Because for every ONE you name who you THINK has integrity I’ll name 20 who have none! And in the first 20 will be the names of Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
But please give me your list of politicians (LOL) with integrity.
I phrased that incorrectly. I should have said “all of the knit wits who voted for him.” Certainly you are not one of them.
I would love to see a Republican take the lead but this crop of piss poor candidates aint gonna do it.
This race is not over and Mitt Romney (with Rubio as his VP) IS the only man who can beat Obama!
Dude your a total basher, the total right wing basher. Romney/Paul is probably the only chance the republicans have at getting enough independent/centrist/constitutionalists to vote for Romney.
Or explain to me whats so great about rubio… I dont really like him so far.
Obama care is lame, but obama is good in most other senses. Im down for higher oil prices. Ill be the first to jump on the green energy bill!
I dont care much for obama but romney is equally as bad in other ways. All I want is true American Constitutionalism! and some god fearing politicians while we are at it.
I dont trust romney… hes kinda shady. Its hard to tell where he is truly looking
I dont agree with any of romneys energy principles and that is the major fault he has. will not win any swing votes with his ideology of more wasteful energy. Romney doesnt give a fuck about the environment and he wants to increase the amount of nuclear reactors in the US. lame.
Remove restrictions on drilling, so companies can tap into the vast amount of oil we have here at home.
Lift government roadblocks to the use of coal and nuclear power.
Eliminate the EPA.
Opposes cap-and-trade and other carbon taxes to regulate deadly carbon emissions that destroy our planet.
Has called the climate change crisis we face a “hoax” - in short, he is a denier.
How can you support an enemy of Gaia like Paul? A climate change denier who wants to abolish the EPA and expand the coal and nuclear energy industries. Opposes cap-and-trade. Against all federal and international environmental laws and regulations. In fact, he argues against any regulations and says that people can do what they want on their own land. You think Paul cares about all the whales and polar bears drowning? And the warming/cooling of the earth? Santorum and Gingrich have the most eco-friendly policies. They may say some stuff to get the crazy right-wing rubes on board but they’re the only two who might be able to save the planet. They are the only ones who might be able to stop Obama’s assault on the environment.
I know this is the only reason why Paul is a problem for me, it sucks… I think Romney has similar views.
Working construction for 5 years in California you learn a lot about energy conservation in homes. Energy is where all the money and power is. Iraq? Oil? nahhh (lol)
So Santorum and Ginrich, Ill have to do some more reading. thanks for the info.
Can we bury the hatchet long enough for me to ask you if you think the critical undecided block actually understands this? Or are you saying that they simply feel the effect of it?
I do. I think they understand this more than many other political things because this is almost visceral - who doesn’t wince every time they go past a gas station and see these prices skyrocketing? Who doesn’t grumble every time they fill up and the amount is climbing into the 50s, 60s, 70s (dollars) and beyond?
This might be the most poignant political issue of them all (at the moment) because no one can escape it, regardless of their level of interest in politics. Everyone knows someone without a job, everyone is feeling salary/wage freezes, and everyone is watching more and more money go into their gas tank.
The “critical undecided block” isn’t stupid, even if they happen not to have white-hot intensity over politics (which is a good thing on their part). They pay bills, they balance checkbooks, they watch 401ks, and they spend a lot of time in their cars. This is a pocketbook issue that won’t be ignored by the undecideds.
Ok, but that’s what I mean. People aren’t actually stupid, but when it comes to WHY the things they have to live with are so, the undecideds have never struck me as a ready source of insight. I don’t now how any times I’ve had a conversation with somebody who at least told me they voted, who also said that the answer to high gasoline prices was direct government price controls. Jist MAKE EM charge less. They seem to be monumentally ignorant of any of the even basic issues bearing on the price they pay for gas. Some are better than others of course.
There’s nothing more nauseating than watching FOX during one of their deals with the guy who’s name escapes me, where they ask undecideds during a debate or speech what they think. Often with their little “approve/disapprove” dial. It is no mystery why these people can’t make their minds up even in an election where Barack Obama is one of the candidates.
1- Because of George Bush every working American got a 5% reduction in their taxes.
For those of us who make $50,000 a year or less thats $2,500 a year or less. Thats nothing!! not a big deal at all. nothing to brag about. do you want me to ooohhhh and awwww at that bull shit. republicans and there tax breaks. get out of here with that nonsense.
Im personally more worried about where it is going then how much, we owe so many trillion i dont mind paying my debt, paying for soldiers, ect, ect. just GOV’T please put it to good use from now on.
Education
Military
Health Care for the Disabled
Border Patrol
taxes, shma. the rest is rambling nonsense that doesnt have anything to do with politics.
Abortion=Constitution… God vs. Womens rights… who will win out?? I go with life…
Energy vs. Environment… I chose life and cleanliness. Just like your body you should take care of it, its much harder to take care of once we fuck it up.
Obamacare vs. n/a … Choosing to agree that people need to take care of themselves. Eat healthy, Plan for your own healthcare, stay in shape. Like the environment, people are much harder to take care of once they are fucked up.
People its called being proactive with the world. take care of where you live. and take care of your body. Its that simple. The government cannot take care of everything for you stop talking like there is some miracle cure cause there is not. It is not republican or democrat.
Capitalism is what runs the world. I hope that we can steer it in the right direction in the future.
Well then just name them. If someone is sticking to his guns he’s doing because he’ll get reelected by doing it. In other words, he/she does it for gain.

When I was 22 I thought a lot of goofy things too. Just hang in there keep reading and stay involved.
and everything you just said about Obummer could easily be applied to Dubya, so whats the difference?I’ll name just two differences.

It’s 5% of what you made. If you think that it’s nothing you have two choices junior. The first is give it back since it’s nothing. Did you do that? No I guess you didn’t. The second choice is to actually make more money so 5% gives you more back. But an across the board 5% tax cut is nice to have and fair to all taxpayers. Now what is it Obama wants to do? Oh yeah RAISE TAXES. And if you are naive enough to think tht he can balance the budget on the backs of the wealthy only you are showing your youth and inexperience (again). There are not enough people making 250-k or more for that to happen–Do the math.
Yes indeed the government has always put the money they steal in taxes from hard working people to good use…WOW you are naive!
Oh but it IS a republican/democrat thing. Your precious President Obama wants to take care of you from cradle to grave. He IS the food stamp President. More Americans are on food stamps today than every before in the history of our country. There is no miracle cure as both parties have contributed to the mess we’re in. But I know one thing with absolute certainty, Obama is a big government tax and spend liberal and he must be defeated!

Republican party is in sad shape when it is going to have to begrudgingly get behind a guy like Romney. Great business man but just no integrity politically. If he is the strongest chance against Obama better get used to another four with Obummer.
LOL integrity?
Tell me genius who in politics today has what you would call integrity. Certainly not hope & change Obama. He smiled while he lied to you knit wits who elected him and you ate it up.
Politicians with integrity?..LOL
Really now? Why do you suppose that Ron Paul has singled out every other candidate in the race (from the very beginning), with the exception of Mitt Romney. Do you need map to figure this one out? Ron Paul has no more integrity than the other whores, he’s just fooled you and other’s because he’d never really been in a position of power beyond his tiny Congressional seat (45,000 people elected him).
I don’t know my guess is either he is chumming up for a cabinet position or he feels that out of the bunch he’d take Romney over the others, or he just lets Mitt open his own mouth and do the work for him. I agree with the other poster that a Romney/Paul ticket would be way more successful than a Romney/Rubio ticket, not that the Rubio ticket isnt his best option otherwise. You cant conjecture that Paul hasnt been corrupt only because he hasnt had the chance. In his actual position that he has served, he has done so with significantly less corruption and more integrity than his opponents, period. And unless you have some axe to grind and just want to shout “well he’s batshit crazy!” like a simple minded buffoon that we have seen in public and on these boards so many times, then you’d at leat admit the man has served with a fair amount of integrity to his principles and hasnt been a whore for lobbyists like most other politicians, has had the balls to directly address the Fed and the problems it has created. Has he taken money in PAc contributions? Absolutely! Has it seemed to be the main driver for his voting record? Doesnt look like it. He has plenty of other policy flaws and he’s damn sure not perfect, no one is, but integrity—yeah I do think he has it.
There is hope for you yet!
I’ll say it for the 12th time, Romney/Rubio can beat Obama. Things always look bad in a contentious primary. But when a winner emerges things change. One good example of that is when George Bush (41) said of Ronald Reagan’s economic views “He believes in voodoo economics”. Then 4 months later Reagan chose Bush as his running mate and they served two terms together in the White House.
This race is not over and Mitt Romney (with Rubio as his VP) IS the only man who can beat Obama!
Still think Romney/Paul would draw more of the independents, middle ground in but I do respect what you are saying about Rubio
His own words on video. Mitt decided to make the case that Santorum and Newt were disqualified over earmarks. And a lot of people buy into it, not realizing how friggen trivial the issue is. Earmarks are less than 1% of the federal budget. And, even after banning them, the money would still be spent! That’s right, would have no impact on the debt. Even so, it’s the bogey-man Romney latched onto. Problem is, here he is BRAGGING about his ability to wrestle money out of Washington DC…I don’t want to hear jack about Obama’s character, if we’re nominating this snake. I will personally defend Obama from the day Romney is officially (if) nominated, on matters of character and principle.
@ZEB
at least I put my age and dont hide behind a curtain like OZ. Oh and attacking my age is the kind of response I would expect from you… its called bully tactics and it makes you sound ignorant as fuck. Oh i cant think of anything right now so ill kill time so I can think by saying something completely unrelated to the topic about his personal traits.
face palm
You make a yourself sound stupid as well by not comprehending the things that i have said and addressing them correctly.

uhhh… I pay my taxes by the book, I donate probably about 5% to my church and I would pay whatever taxes asked of an american citizen because Im legal… Its the price we pay to live in the land of opportunity. Best country ever made.
As far as balancing the budget on the rich peoples back Ive never said that once so, irrelevant to me but i guess its just my age that makes me stay on topic… and relevant… The obviouse point of my response was that 5% up or down does nothing positive or negative to the economy if budgeting isnt done correctly.

This was is me stating that the government has made stupid decisions with the hard earned tax money and then you call me naive for stating that the money they steal should be use correctly, from this point on… preferably.
Do you want them to continue miss using tax money??.. weird…
