AM Session
Reverse Band Deadlift
135 x 1 (joke)
225 x 1 (joke)
315 x 1 (joke)
405 x 1 (feeling it now)
455 x 1
495 x 1
545 x 1 (tough)
From what I estimate using Elitefts load chart it’s taking off about 120 at the bottom where I got it. Correct me if I’m wrong
Still a strong lockout with that weight! I would expect there to be more of a struggle at the top
Appreciate it, I think the speed from the floor is what helps too, if your grinding from the floor there will be no chance in locking out. Makes me wonder if my lockout is poor? or is my strength from the floor weak? Before I hit 500 I had a video of like 475 checked by Ben Pollack and he suggested direct glute work and then I hit 500 like a few weeks after that. Been trying to do glute hams when I can, might start throwing in KB swings again.

Some band pushdowns
On the top single, my bar path got jacked up on the descent and I am not totally sure what happened. I think I let it come to far over my face but anyway it forced me to slightly pause in the bottom and Im really surprised I pulled that one out. Guess I am getting stronger? lol

Was working up to a heavy single and had at least 350 in mind this morning. Felt tired upon waking but by the time lifting came around that changed. 335 felt super light so i kept pushing. The first 375 single I didnt like depth so I hit again and the second rep Im happy with. This is the first time feeling like 4 plates is very doable. Bodyweight was 193 last night
Great squat Dude.
I just saw the one were you didn’t like the head bob and stuff.
I think it doesn’t matter, it’s part of your setting up, and as long as you don’t do it while lifting it should be fine.
I think you look rock solid squatting.
BUT I’m not very qualified to say anything. To me it looks cool.
I appreciate it! Always looking to improve, efficiency is important at this point.
Squat looked solid mate, chest was up, you looked liked you had a solid foundation and braced and bar speed was quick ![]()
Appreciate it!

These bench days just keep feeling easier and easier, not really sure whats going on. I have not been following any sort of programming. Been just kind of going off feel trying to hit 2 days a week and pushing what feels like would be the most productive for that day.

Impromptu deadlift session
Shit sleep last night after drinking 7 beers. Had a free 30 min so I decided to hit some deadlifts. Actually turned out to be a good session

315 x 1
365 x 1
405 x 1
450 x 1

Given the circumstances I’m happy I can pull that on a whim. I’m eyeballing a powerlifting meet December 8, what you guys think?
Definitely do the meet man! I did a mock meet back in April and it was an awesome experience. Great people and a lot of prs!
It’s a USAPL meet and it’s about 15 min from the house, also about 3 months out so I can definitely get some good planned work in. Just gotta get the wife’s go ahead lol

155 x 5
170 x 5
185 x 5
205 x 6,6,6,5
Band pushdown 2 x 20
Do it! I know you have a super busy life right now (which will never change moving forward), so if you do choose to do it, dont stress out about it. Just have fun with it. Get your wife on board and make it just another thing, in other words dont draw attention to it often.
Yea, essentially nothing would change. I already lift in the mornings while the baby and my wife are sleeping. I may get a heavy deadlift session in on weekends every couple of weeks. I might actually sit down and plan out programming leading up to the meet but that wouldnt affect daily life. Got until November to sign up. Im thinking Im going to go ahead and adjust training as if i am going to do the meet.
