Regardless, I am serious. Yes, obviously there are drawbacks to any system, but capitalism is an absolutely failed endeavor. With the way things are now, and with the recent court decision allowing corporations to directly fund and back politicians, I can only imagine what the future of America holds. Hopefully anarchy, rioting and mass rebellion. Escape from L.A. comes to mind.

Capitalism has worked fine, its this fascism that the socialist gave us that is failing. All the courts did was allow companies to back ads in the last few days of an election, something free speech protects.

So you want socialism and anarchy? I think you should do your own research and not listen to your teachers.

Think of it this way, your electronics are for the most part purely capitalist. look at the advancements that they have made and the amount of price reduction that has happened. Now take a look at health care and public schooling where the government is heavily involved, prices are rising at a very fast rate.

Capitalism has shown to reduce prices and increase quality, Government raises costs and reduces quality.

The idea of socialism has been around since forever. The modern meaning of the word came to be in response to the development of industrial capitalism.

Fascism glorifies nationalism to the extreme. Violence is the tool of fascism. Force, intimidation and war are glorified by the fascist doctrine as ways to gain power and glory. If anyone gave the U.S. this mentality, it’s been the war mongering conservatives, not those hippie liberals bastards.

And unfortunately I don’t have any “teachers.” Just good old Fox News to keep me updated. UP THE PUNKS.

Oh and the whole corporate free speech thing is highly debatable.

As long as C cooperation’s are taxed and treated like individuals they deserve the right to free speech. If that speech is making political ads a day before the election then that is well within their rights.

You mean the hippie liberals that riot every time they don’t get there way? Peaceful people right there. Such peace loving people, if you don’t give them your stuff they will kill you.

Again, Capitalism has given us everything, Government(fascism socialism communism) has sank everything they have touched. Unless you are a sadist, wishing for socialism its foolish.

Wilson, Roosevelt, Kennedy.

So just because a mutli-billion dollar corporation with dozens of CEO’s and shareholders is taxed means it should have free speech like an individual? I’m sorry but I just don’t agree. We all already know a corporations power extends far beyond what the average man is capable of. Comparing the two just isn’t logical. But, to each his own. I suppose arguing about it now is pointless.

And yeah, we riot because we are given little recourse (although I can’t remember the last time a Liberal sponsored riot broke out). Comparing us to say the Bush administration is silly at best.

And yes, many political systems have failed around the world. I see capitalism as the next to fall. Free market assumes everything is infinite. I don’t think a hundred years from now things will be how they are now and everything will be running smoothly. I’m not trying to bash America or people who support capitalism. I just think the current system is highly flawed and needs to be rewritten. The power is no longer in the people’s hands.

The problem is not people being able to buy politicians. The supreme court can do very little about this.

The problem is that politicians have something to sell. This only gets worse with more socialism. Take away their power and the money will disappear on its own.

…Spartiates’ fairly accurate description of the handling of the health care debate by the DNC as cautious and rational…
This brought a smile to my face. It deserves to be quoted, preserved and…laughed at.
Look, whether or not the description is accurate is besides the point. Rockscar gave three supposed examples of democratic fear mongering. Spartiates offered points that purported to refute one of those examples. Whether or not Spartiates points did refute the health care example is of course up for debate, but Spartiates did in fact give points for refuting one of Rockscar’s examples, which certainly does NOT “say nothing to refute [Rockscars] point…at all”. It does say something to refute it. Whether or not it succeeds is a matter for Rockscar to intelligently respond to.

Of course, you will respond with something like “oh, but it’s so obvious. Anyone with a brain can see it. Anyone not trying to wipe Obumas ass knows that’s wrong”, bla bla bla, and hence tell me that Rockscar’s response was appropriate. That’s fine, but if that’s the appropriate flow of conversation around here then it is in fact your shtick that is loudly lauded.

Actually, you might even tell me “oh, but it’s not that it’s obvious it’s that it’s been discussed so many times around here that somewhere in all those discussions the arguments for why the democrats are in fact fear mongering have been made”, but you know as well as I do that you and your ilk just played out your own shticks in those debates too…

That is why I don’t poke my head in anymore, this place is just a bunch of people patting themselves on the back anymore.

wtf…man you watch waaayyyy too much fox news…
you know theres different degrees oh socialist states like democratic socialism like sweden
like a country doesnt need to be 100% socialist, you dont need a country ruled by an iron fist to have free health care and education which is mind boggling that the most powerful country in the world doesnt have these 2 basic things…

i really dont get why americans hate socialism so much…

Posts like yours are difficult to respond to - first, there is so much to correct to that is either confused or misleading or just plain factually wrong; second, I almost can’t believe that you actually believe the things you’ve written.

Take the above sentence. Look up the word scarcity, think about what relative versus absolute scarcity means, and how they relate to the formation and movement of markets; and then consider carefully whether that sentence should be abandoned as hopelessly stupid.
