Just stumbled onto this article about the ephedrine/caffeine. Any legitimacy to it or was it likely some idiots just abusing the products? Planning on trying a two week eca cycle and was wondering if there is any risk of it if I just take a 24mg eph/ 200mg caff dose twice/day. Heres the article: Find recalls, advisories and safety alerts - Canada.ca
Thanks for any input.
Health Canada takes a harm-preventative approach, if something will benefit 99% of the populace and harm 1%, they will try to limit it as to protect the 1%. As such, they usually recommend on the lower side of dosage and contraindict whenever possible.
I would say their recommendation is valid for their target (ie. ensuring the safety of all Canadians), but if you are healthy, relatively young, good cardiac condition, not abusing it (etc. etc.), then your dosing protocol should be fine.
They’re not idiots, they’re just not talking to us or people who know how to use ephedrine safely; they’re talking to the mother with 3 kids who wants to take a magic pill to lose weight.

Great post.
Thanks DOH, I just recently started trying to see problems from the perspective of opposing viewpoints, and trying to figure out why things are recommended as they are.
It is my conclusion that 90% of the problems between recommendations (and subsequent confusion) can be averted if people just spoke about their target populace.
You don’t need EC to lose fat, but if you start taking it, I recommend half doses for a few days (10/100) and see how your body reacts. I ramped up to 3 doses a day too quickly, and was left feeling wired. In a bad way.
Hey thanks alot for the quick responses guys! And yeah I’m probably gonna start out with 16mg/100 for the first 2 week cycle and see how that goes twice/day. I really appreciate the advice and insight.
If I may be so rude, I’d like to hijack the thread for a similar question:
Are the other ingredients in drugs like Bronkaid and Vasopro of any concern? Both drugs are very cheap sources of laboratory ephedrine, but they have several other ingredients.
Xab, I’ve been reading more about the stack, and the side effects of the other ingredient in Bronkaid (Guaifenesin) seem very mild. You may want to research it yourself, but it seems like they are things like dry mouth and headaches. For the effect (in my personal opinion) it is well worth it. I am on the tail end of a 6-week stack and the results have been phenomenal. I have bought all the hydroxycut hardcore and redline crap in the past, and it makes me sick to think that I was spending $50 to $60 a bottle for something not nearly as effective as a $12 box of asthma meds and a $3 bottle of no doz.
I’ve dropped 20 pounds in 3 1/2 weeks and feel incredible. I do worry about the side effects, but I’m trusting my body and I don’t remember the last time I felt this good (or was under 220). Years ago, I did have a perscription for Adderal, so my system may be accustomed to some level of amphetamine. I don’t recommend following my doses, but on training days I have gotten to two bronkaids (50 mg) one no doz (200 mg caff) and a baby aspirin, twice a day.
I’ve read a number of times on here that the aspirin isn’t necessary, but I bought the bottle, so I figured I’d keep the “A” with the “EC”. My wife is seeing abs again and we’re both happy about that. For an office worker, I’m feeling pretty fantastic. Plus, after a month of body weight exercises and some backyard crossfit training, along with a ton of “caveman” camping trips (hauling logs, chucking rocks, eating meat with my bare hands) I am very pleased to feel even stronger. Losing 20 pounds and not feeling weaker seems counterintuitive, but the other day I went to the gym with my buddy and I was still able to grab the 115 dumbbells and crank out 12 presses. I also krok rowed the 140’s which I haven’t done before, so that was cool.
Anyway, my opinion. I fuckin love the ECA stack.
