One of my favorite sayings from Aurelius. Definitely worth reading over every so often.

Most definitely, one of the many great books I had to read while taking an honors class in classic literature. Wasn’t the most enjoyable experience at the time, but in retrospect, I sure learned a lot of valuable things.
AC: Definitely a great read, really inspiring.
Damn I fell behind in my log again, Thursday was legs and friday was off. Saturday was chest – mostly hypertrophy 8-15 reps, although I’ll start off with a power exercise for 3-5 reps.

Notes: trained at a commercial gym, the leg presses were a lot easier than at my studio – different make.
Just checking in. Hope everything is going well.
What AquaCruzer said. How goes the training these days brother?
Thanks for the comments my training is alright, unfortunately I was never able to repeat my front squat feat of 315 which disappoints me – hit 275 for a double after doing leg preses for a month. Mostly hypertrophy training as of lately, some heavy triples sneaked in there though. My bodyweight is slightly over 190 – lost 17 pounds since Feb. Flat is at 275x3, haven’t been BB rowing too much. My back has been pretty tweaked up and I feel I’m nursing it, I’m doing some nueromuscular shit like single leg DLs which I SUCK at. If it helps my gluts fire better I’ll do it.
I’m more focused on my business; I’m currently ranked on google for my local search results for personal training, which is exciting because it constantly generates leads and has already paid dividends! Doing a lot of cross promotion for local businesses to offer a training session coupon as an incentive for their customers to buy their expensive products or services. Personal training can be feast or famine and my marketing efforts are helping me make my income more consistent and increase my client hours.
Here’s hoping your back recovers quickly. Best of luck with your business, its pretty tough out there now. Keep you head up and I think you’ll do well. Also, depsite the weight loss, you look pretty swole in the avi pic.
If that avi is from recently, you still look great man.
I don’t know if I’ve posted in here before, but thought I’d say that I was following your log before and your progress/physique is inspiring.
Best of luck with the back recovery and with the business!
Are you still cutting down for the photoshoot on June 8th?
Chi! I’m happy you popped in, good news about your PT business =D
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” (Ephesians 3:20)
@AC thanks for checking in!
@DOW thanks for the encouragement, it might be tough out there but I can hang with the best of them. I believe He will always make a way where there is no way.
@Blaze the avi is about three weeks ago when I was weighing 195, feeling a bit flatter now that I’ve lowered my carbs to 125-150g/day, but it’s probably just in my head. Yes doing a couple shoots in June and a guest BB appearance to a festival; it’s not quite as hardcore as a competition but I want to be ~6%.
@Nikki, thanks girl hope things are going well in FL.
Hey, your back(kinda!)
AWesome news about your business!!
thats good news about your business ![]()
Thanks everyone for checking in!
I have continued to focus on my personal training business, and have begun doing public speaking in January.
Here is a video of a seminar I organized yesterday to raise money for American Cancer Society:
As far as my fitness is concerned, I mountain bike quite a lot and workout at least five times a week, I find I can get away with having a more liberal diet with the extra biking. While maintaining my weight around 190 with visible abs so I’m happy with that.
Hope everyone is doing well!
