A massage sounds nice, although a deep tissue one might not be so nice at first.

I actually did some DLs today and focus on the whole hip drive/butt cheek mental/hump the bar mental cue and it did wonders especially for my lower back.[/quote]

Really is amazing what humping the bar does for you haha.

Amazing indeed.

Nikki: You really need to come to Chicago. I’ll let you stand on my back if you cook me some of that spicy pizza.

AC: Yeah I heard they can be painful, call me nuts but I actually like that sort of thing. Not sure if I noticed any results from the hip drive on the speed pulls, I’ll find out later this week when I aim to set a sumo deadlift PR.

DF: So I hear.

A) Front squats 135x1, 165x1, 195x1, 225x1, 245x1, 275x1, 315x1 (+50 lb. PR!)

B) Incline bench 135x3, 185x3, 205x3, 225x3, 245x3

C) BB Row 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 275x3, 225x5, 225x5

D) Wide grip pull ups BWx12*2

Notes: Solid workout, weighed in at 207 after a week of burgers, burritos and pizza (deload week; I need tha caloriez for teh supercompensation). Finally accomplished a 1.5xBW front squat! Shoulder still felt a bit iffy, but managed to do a triple at 80%. Stay tuned for a deadlift video soon. This week concludes my time on beast building phase one, it hasn’t felt like 8 weeks, it’s been a fun ride. My training will most likely be a combination of power and hypertrophy training for a couple weeks, then a bigger emphasis on hypertrophy the following month as I prepare for a photo shoot late feb/early march.

Awesome front squat PR!!

315 is a huge milestone on the front squat.

Awesome PR bro, but where’s the food log lol. I especially liked how that dude slapped you haha. Good stuff, keep the vids coming

Wow, 50 lb PR? WICKED!!!

You’re so adorable, asking to be slapped before the lift
You’re looking huge, I can’t wait to see you at your next show.
And in case you didn’t catch it back at my old log, but I want to see you pose to that song, so record it or something.

Nice PR man!

Although I must say those appeared to be wimpy slaps haha. I thought you were into pain and the like?

Yeah I know! He held back, like he mentioned in the vid, so I had to do the job myself!

@Evan, thanks a lot for the comment boss!

@hlss, I’m cleaning up my diet this week for my photoshoot – it’ll become consistent again!

A little demanding are we? Maybe when I do my photo shoot next month I’ll do a posing video; and maybe even an intro to weight lifting tutorial.

Edit: For those of you just tuning in, here’s the song we’re discussing – which I ironically was listening today when I was front squatting.

Tribute to tecca nina, the best rapper alive – otherwise I’d be stuck listening to the Britney Spears we had playing!

What, you trying to say I need an intro to weight lifting vid? ;D
Heehee just kidding, that’ll be a good idea for me haha

My gym plays that “1, 2, 3 yadda yadda” Britney song. That’s why I have to make sure that my iPod is always fully charged.

Congrats on the PR bud!

Meal 1: Power oatmeal and cottage cheese

DF: Thanks for the comment!

Nikki: Girl, you definitely need a tutorial

Way to grind that mother up man. Very nice work, though I would suggest a real slap next time

Thanks man, looking forward to repping it! Haha, next time I’ll have to let him know I mean business.

WTG!!

gasp When you’re about to pull your deadlift PR, I’ll slap you… I won’t hold back :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice, it’s always good to see 3 wheels on the bar, great work.

This entire album.

Amazing.

Mim: Web Technology Group?

Nikki: I’ll look forward to that!

Tim: Thank you for the comment.

DF: Great stuff, I particularly like the Black Winter track.

1/26/2011

A) Sumo deadlift 135x1, 225x1, 275x1, 315x1, 365x1, 405x1 (40lb. PR!), 435Xfail

B) Pull ups: Wide/Neutral/Chins BWx12 (1 set each grip)

C) Face pulls 32x15, 48x15*2

Notes: Got 435 just under knee level but no dice, need more hip involvement I believe. Tried to upload the fail attempt on youtube but there was an error, lame.

Nice job on the PR!

Have you considered doing glute bridges and/or hip thrusts to help with your lockout?
