Cute? Tacky? Meh? You make the coasters then fold them into the pot to look like a bouquet.

They’re a little grandma-y, but if I received one I would put it in a bedroom and cherish it. It wouldn’t make the living room because we’re more austere in there.

This is probably why I like it. My tree skirts are all crochet. And I love the old hand towels that have the crochet at the top. And all of my potholders are crochet. Now that I’m writing it out, I might have a problem…
To be clear, I don’t crochet. All things that have been given to me. Lol

Some of my friends and I are planning to have a home for aged women who like to talk a lot (HFAWWLTTAL, pronounced “the hifwalotal”). It’s for when all of the men have died off, as they go first. Anyway, one of our big plans, along with getting short and fat, is to make cozies for EVERYTHING and put them on when the kids/grandkids come over (to reach things from high shelves and eat cookies). So the TV cozy, toaster and tissue and toilet paper cozies of course, but also maybe a cozy the covers the entire toilet.
For fun. Because we’re planning to lean in to the whole grandma thing.

I always said when I hit 40 I was going to dye my hair old lady blue and wear nothing but mu’umu’us (had to look up the proper spelling for that one). I’ve got the hair, haven’t quite committed to the mu’umu’u yet. I can say that I have any cozies. Yet…

I have only made bowl cozies to put in the microwave so I am ahead of y’all by one!
Can’t guarantee that this won’t happen though.

Yes, I could have went down and did a workout this morning but… I chose to make my birthday cake instead. Have eaten the same birthday cake for over 50 years, no need to change it now. Of course, it was better when mom made it but, it’ll do Donkey.
This will be followed by my favorite pork chops, sweet potatoes, Texas caviar ( that my friend made, because we have to have black eyed peas) fried cabbage ( because we all the luck we can get) and cornbread.
Then it’s off to my peeps to see how devastated the house is after the hoard showed up for Christmas. I predict 50 more trips to the attic to put all that stuff back up there.
