I’m glad to read you’re feeling better and consistently able to lift!

Yesterday and today. Trimmed some limbs on one of the big hackberry trees and set up the swing set frame in hopes to hang my heavy bag. After shouldering the bag and packing it out there… nope! The straps on the bag are too long.

I will have to get some more fancy gas for the chainsaw to do some more trimming, before I can hang it from a bigger, taller limb. I have small chain to wrap around the limb but now I will need a small pulley so I can raise and lower it to take it back inside.

There was some
BPAs
Push ups
Ring rows

Didn’t get too energetic. I have to go clean a horse trailer here in a little bit so I am saving myself for that… lol

Imma just gonna say… sure am glad I saved enegry for the horse trailer. That was a job! 100s of dirt dauber nests, yuck. Had to pull the mats and put them back in. I have come to the conclusion that if you want grip strength just buy a horse mat.
Thank God it was partly cloudy today and I didn’t have a heat stroke.

This bastard right here nearly done me in. Literally have to wrestle it back in there.

That’s a lot of work, no wonder you pulled your punches in the gym. Has it cooled down any there? We’re having a weirdly cool August; most of the daytime highs have been in the 80s.

Yes it was… lol
Yes, we got a 1/2 rain a couple weeks ago and 1 inch last week! It was only about 96 today but the humidity was around 70%. So, yes it is definitely cooler.

We’ve all been seeing the new Surge stuff all over the forum, so I decided to try it. It definitely seemed to help! I didn’t really want to go lift this morning but once I got going things moved well.

Ate some potato salad and Mexican wedding cake with my peeps yesterday… wish I would have said NO! Had horrible “spell”.

Going to go bend/ weld some rebar today so I am skipping upper body until I feel better.

Simple design so I hope to knock it out fairly quickly. We shall see. Will probably have to double the arch for stability.

We sit here baking in the hottest summer on record. Not a drop of rain for months. Then… over 5 inches in two days. Coupled with 90+ degree temps and bam!

Houston, we have a problem!
I have never seen anything like it, neither have a bunch folks here. Craziest shit ever! We when from nothing being green to full on jungle in a matter of a week. Mom’s pecan tree lost all of it’s leaves over the summer, and put them back on, almost overnight. Anyway, lifting will be suspended until I get this under control. This will be a MAJOR fire hazzard if it dries out. Oh wait! Now… No chances of rain in the forecast.

Where are those deer that ate your garden, when you need them?

We sold 90 cows after starting to feed them hay about the start of Aug.
Rained 8-9" since and grass (and weeds) are booming.

A little rest from weights and some manual labor will do you well.
