They’re not important to me because they’re annoying as shit. I dont mind doing power cleans though. @T3hPwnisher has stated it doesnt matter if power clean form isnt the best. My power cleans are going to suck anyways. Also log cleans are a completely different movement to power cleans.

Obviously power cleans will help learn triple extension though.

I completely disagree with this, i know alot of high level strongmen and have trained with them and majority dont program power cleans. They do fine without them. Also a couple of coaches i know dont program power cleans for strongmen clients either. You ever see Thor or brian shaw do a power clean lol?

Edit: im not against cleans, Just you saying i’ll “struggle” without them is definitely incorrect imo

This is the biggest reason I think you should do them.

You can overload clean pulls and pull more weight in a fast manner compared to a power clean. This will help improve your strength and power.

When I’m healthy and training power cleans I use clean pulls to overload the movement. I guess you could call it the power clean’s version if a partial rep. It allows me to pull heavier weights and get used to them (similar to unracking 120% of your max and just standing with it on a a squat).

At one point I was clean pulling 350 lbs and I could jump off the ground on the triple extension (and this was before I trained deadlifts). Do you think developing that kind of power would be useful to you?

You don’t have to do clean pulls but don’t confuse your dislike of them for uselessness. I think we can all agree that there are many things we dislike that would be good for us.

I know that a lot of the strongman stuff is different but I really think learning some good technique would have been beneficial on that circus barbell event.

I’m not sure how much better it could be in truth. It’d be like trying to power clean a tsunami bar.

Jesse Marunde and Misha Koklyaev were always great athletes to watch as far as that technique went though.

Yeaaaa budday. sorry for being MIA. Went from being home in Hawaii to out in NYC for school/work, and then relocated to San Diego at the beginning of the year. Wasn’t consistent with working out since going ghost, but this week I picked up a barbell, a squat stand, and some bumpers, so let’s goooo.

Where do i start… I have about 20+Year 12’s bullying me right now. A whole big ass group keeps yelling shit out, Talking shit or making fun of me every time i see them whether its between classes, or in my classes . Theyve even started following me around at recess and lunch the fuck. Today i went up to there group and threw one of them through a wooden fence and 3 of them tackled me and luckily i got saved by a teacher. I nearly got mobbed for fuck sake, what the fuck. Outside of school I’ve been messaged by them as well as them driving past and yelling shit out. Im about ready to Wait for them after school and fucking beat the fuck out of every one of them individually

Have you thought about talking to someone at the school. Given there is usually focus on systemic bullying in schools, the school should be compelled to act and do something. Deciding to take them all on may not end well however good you think you are.

1st: Stop with the “I am going to kick their arses” bullshit.

That is not self defence. Self defence always needs to be proportional. Shooting someone who is unarmed is not self defence in most cases. Knocking an attacker down is. Kicking his head in next is not.

Here is what you should do: Document everything as best as you can (screenshot messages) and don’t engage.
Consult someone of your school’s authorities and show and describe what has been going on.
Make it very clear that you will take that case to the police If necessary. And actually do so if the school doesn’t handle the case to your satisfaction!

Just because they don’t act like adults doesn’t mean you don’t have to. Keep violance to directly defense yourself against an attack.

And don’t wait to consult someone. Otherwise you give them more opportunities.

I can’t really screenshot anything, I abused them back and threatened them. I even told them if they wanna be bullying assholes to go slit each others throats.

Theirs plenty of evidence via school cameras of them Following me and my mates around and yelling shit. People and teachers too.

Violence begets violence, and etc as applicable.

What people deserve and what they get are vastly different things.

Even though this is wrong for sure, it doesn’t necessarily change the case inherently.

Also regarding the way you reacted, you should scroll up in your own log to read some of @T3hPwnisher’s posts. By engaging you make yourself an easy target. That may not be fair and hard to see in the heat of the moment (Not a reference) but it is how this works.
