I’m gonna have to agree with Pwn here. Seeing as clean pulls are a spectacular movement, and you’re not prepping for a strongman comp you should just keep doing the clean pulls.
Even if you look like a 200kg sumo wrestler trying to do ballet, it’s off season, there is no better time to learn new things. Soon enough you’ll learn how to hump the bar right up to you shoulders.
When I think clean pull I think pounding the bar with my quads as hard as I can while trying to pull my arms up in an upright row fashion. You’ll know your getting somewhere technique wise once the bar feels lighter off the bounce and you don’t have to pull quite as hard with you arms.
(I got a feel for this by practicing with heavy weight clean pulls that I couldn’t pull with my arms and learning to hit the bar just right to where I could pull my arms up, maybe give that a try. Also maybe do them off pins/blocks)
To add to my original comment- you can’t really call it a power clean/clean variant once you go past 1-3 reps anyways. No one is capable of producing the power and form needed to maintain good form for many many reps done in quick succession.
I very much doubt anyone expects you to be doing proper cleans if you are expected to do 10x10.
So don’t worry about your form. All that matters is that you get the bar from someplace near the floor to up to your chest. It requires an enormous amount of power to do.
Heck, i’m willing to bet that doing 10x10 with just the bar will be soul-crushingly difficult for most people.

I mean i still won’t do them, i hate the hell out of them.

As long as you’re not trashing your wrist/elbow by catching the bar horribly wrong, you’re good to go. Just grab the bar, hinge, straighten up, jump and shrug once the bar reaches someplace between your thighs and your lower torso while keeping your upper body relaxed. Congrats, you just did a clean pull.
Add in a quick movement into a clean grip and you just caught the bar. Congrats once more. Dip as low as you feel the need to while catching the bar to do a power clean. Do a full front squat as you catch the bar to do a full clean.
Now just do it a million times so that you can do the clean like a normal person.
If you want to go win weightlifting competitions then you should go find an Oly lifting coach.
But they’re honestly not that difficult once you understand the mechanics behind them. Read up on Dan John’s articles on them + the video from Glenn Pendlay that I mentioned a while back. Both of them are very useful.

i think I’ll add 2 reps each week until i reach 20 then I’ll build up reps with the 110. Every now and then I’ll hit some singles, doubles etc but i want to refine technique and explosiveness on stones.
