I once ate eight diavolas in three days during a trip to Italy. It’s so damn good
I think I’m closest to a 1B. I lack some of the dominant characteristics.
Okay something is seriously wrong here. I keep getting pins and needles in my left hand/a little in the arm and its been happening for like the last week and a half or so.
I was getting this issue this time last year, it turned out being a combination of excessive muscular tension in my neck a bulging disk in my lower back. Definitely get it checked out in case you’ve got the same thing
Are you kidding me?? Fuck. How bad is a bulging disk??
Mine was pretty minor. One physio session to try and get the muscles on my spine to relax (massage and EMS) and then two weeks without any strenuous or loaded lower body training, nor spinal compressors (bench w/ arch, OHP). My physio asked me to emphasise decompression and single-leg work in my training, so I ended up doing loads of dips, push-ups, bodyweight lunges, chin-ups and pull-aparts (100-200 of each, 4x a week). Once my physio cleared me I haven’t had any issues
Ok i’ll chill lol. Does a bulging disc cause you to have a weak lower back? My deadlift is fricking weak and its like the only thing that can’t handle any weight is my lower back.
Not sure, I was 531ing at the time so I never maxed out on my deadlift, so I couldn’t tell if that was a weak link or not. I will say, however, that my physio did say that the bulging disk was probably a result of poor lumbar positioning for my deads and squats (particularly the latter), so perhaps a weak low back could have lead to the bulging disk. Hard to say, I’m obviously not a professional, and we don’t even know whether or not you’re dealing with the same thing.
Oh okay
I’m going to get this checked out, I’m kind of worried now. My deadlift form isnt exactly good
Don’t stress too much - if you can still walk it’s not that major - but it’s something worth getting looked at
Alright. Also if it is a bulging disc, would it be in my left erector hence my left arm is getting affected?
My understanding is that a bulging disk is an issue with the vertebra, not an erector. That being said, I also believe that the disk could bulge to one side, hence compressing nerves (causing tingling) down one side of the body.
Again, I have no idea if that’s true or not, but it seems logical
Interesting, i looked up the symptoms and now im more concerned. I’ve always had something wrong with my back though, when i was little i fucked it up.
Well it’s good you’ll get it checked out. I don’t think it’ll be a particularly long recovery, and you’ll be moving so much better once it’s over, believe me. I tore my hamstring, impinged my shoulder and fucked my back in the first 18 months of lifting. Now, I’ve managed to go a year mostly injury free, which I’m pretty proud of. You’ll be surprised how different you may feel after getting this looked at, particularly if it’s been a chronic issue.
No. It’s your cervical spine that’s out of whack if you feel it in your arm. You could just have a vertebrae a little out of place causing it to put pressure on your nerve.
I have a bulged disc at L3/L4 (lower lumbar region). It’s fine. If I aggravate it then it swells and puts pressure on the nerves causing pain to radiate to my hip and possibly down my leg. Most adults have a bulged lumbar disc and don’t even know it.
Oh ok.
I just freaked out. I’m super scared of like fucking myself up or some shit. My bodies all weird and imbalanced.
I dont get back pain. Sometimes a little after deadlifts but it just feels kind of not healthy if that makes sense? My whole life it’s been like that really. I uses to get severe pain when i was younger to the point of not being able to walk.
I haven’t gotten a single injury since lifting so far so I’m really lucky.(some niggles here and there like knees, elbows, lower back or shoulders) What i did do though is make my shoulders shit (when i was 14/early 15) so i can’t even do regular chinups etc. I cant do any dumbell pressing either or benching variations like incline, but it’s mainly because of one clavicle being way longer than the other and one part of my back as well as the other being higher up. Its just messed up from breaking my collarbone when young and one side growing more (cant fix because of bones). It causes alot of muscle imbalances which I’m sure isn’t good for my body either. When I’m lifting my right side gets stimulated alot more and favoured in all lifts because of how my arm/shoulders are.
I have a picture which will show how drastic my clavicle/one side length is as well as alot of other shit. I also have a curvature in my spine. I’m all fucked up lol
That has to be the worst arrow I’ve ever seen
You may want to fix that, being unbalanced is an easy way to get injured
Hey!! It’s a phone drawn arrow ![]()
I have no clue how. Whatever exercise i do my right always gets hit more due to the different leverage/Structure. So in a overhead press my right delt/Tricep gets worked alot more, Even my left erector is alot smaller which is one of the most dangerous things. The only way to fix imbalances i think will be to add in exercises using my left arm/leg only. Even if i do unilateral work like say dumbell rows the right side will still get stimulated more anyway. So one side only (i tried to fix imbalances by doing all reps on the weaker side, but since the way my body is fucked up the same exercise will target different muscles more due to angles and structure whatever then on right side and vice versa. So yeah one side only. I literally hate it
If the traditional unilateral work isn’t working and it’s due to structural issues a knowledgeable physical therapist is your best bet
I don’t know what you do with bone issues. I think you should just be aware and make sure you don’t do something to cause more problems. Maybe you would be a candidate for one arm deadlifts.
