We usually get 3 two week breaks and one 6 week break but since im Yr11 we get an extra 6 weeks this holiday. Next year I’ll finish year 12 4-5 weeks earlier than now.
I’m doing sets of 5. I’ll lower the reps and see how that goes. I do hate the sets of 5 though. Im still progressing on the exercise so i might as well keep it in. Btw today i had a real grindy moment like you’ve described you have. For my 3rd set of bench i knew the 5th rep would be grindy, it took me like 10 seconds to complete the rep lol. It didnt feel particularly hard, it was like time slowed down and i was just pushing it up forever.
You could also try rest-pausing the sets. Think 3+2 reps with 15 breaths between mini-sets. That way you could equate the volume and use higher weights than with sets of 5
Doesn’t it feels oddly easy, like, you could go for another (and possibly even get it)?
I actually enjoyed it. it’s like my nervous system thrived off of it? I can’t explain it but it was just so god damn weird. I’ve read that Type 1a is good at grinding reps and you’ve mentioned it.
My goal is to get to pendlay rowing 100kg in the next couple of months. I’ll give the rest pause a try.
Enjoy the holidays, are you just hanging out or do you have any plans like work or something.
Nice CGBP PR
Umm screw that! Too much time on my hands to just waste.
This is my plan: to work full time and save for three months. Its not easy landing a job though. I’m not giving up until i land something.
stuff
5×20 band curls for elbows. Did these yesterday and they made my elbows feel amazing after grippers so did them today and same thing happened. Think if i do these everyday i could get some bicep growth.
Hand bands ×alot.
It feels natural to grind and it’s not really exhausting at all. At least that’s what I’ve experienced
Rest pausing gets you stupidly strong really quick
I’m just curious and i know they are all different, but in your opinion what is the best neurotype?
Lets goo
Really there is no such thing as the best neurotype; it’s just a matter of perspective. (In terms of life)
If we are talking about stuff like strongman or powerlifting, 1A and 1B are the neurotypes that are the most prone to succeed.
If we think sports in general, 1B is a pretty strong contender; they are the guys who are naturally good at nearly all kinds of sports. They are the stars in team sports and the generally the most gifted guys when it comes to stuff like olympic weightlifting and sprinting.
If we think about bodybuilding, type 2s (both A and B) are the most common (and the “best”)
For endurance sports it would be type 3.
All in all, there is no neurotype that is superior to every other type in everything, but some neurotypes are better suited for strength sports, bodybuilding or endurance sports than others.
I thought so.
That’s really cool. What I’ve always been taught is sprinters etc are born with more fast twitch muscle fibers hence they are good at sprinting.
Obviously this is true but it’s awesome to have a deeper understanding because of neurotyping.
Are there a few cases of top bodybuilders that arent 2? Someone like Ronnie Coleman strikes me as a Type 1.
True
Good shit man
I think Thibs speculated that neurotypes and muscle fiber ratios could be connected, which would make sense
I haven’t looked that closely to bodybuilders’ personalities so I’m not gonna make any claims. Ronnie sure is loud and extroverted, so he may well be a type 1
Today’s training.
Fucking good sesh today. Great environment too with 2 other people doing strongman as well. Figure i felt so strong because no school
Front squat
5×2 @75kg. Hard and heavy. I figure because i trained at a way earlier time than usual…

BOOOMMM SLAYA STRENGTH.now gonna stuff my face and then get my deep tissue sports massage.
What do you guys do for stones? Looking at my videos the stone looked and also felt so easy but i couldn’t do much reps with it as it was tearing up my forearms. Right now the limiting factor is that.
Massage was great! Lady was very intelligent and good at what she does. Which is exactly what i researched for. I wasn’t going to fork out money for some trash massagist. Anyway, feeling alot better. Nothing glared as dangerous or bad just everywhere was tight. She did tell me i need to stretch my lats so I’ll do just that.
Holy shit, strong grip. How do you incorporate Grip training into your program? I’m thinking of getting a CoC gripper and getting that stronger for some at-home sessions.
Keep it up and they will callus.
Grip is something that can be trained quite frequently as it recovers fast. For grippers, i do them on an off day. I train Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,Friday. Wednesday is grippers day. If you’re going to buy a gripper start off with the Trainer as well as some hand bands. The hand bands will help avoid tendonitis/or pain and tightness by working your extensors. The hand bands are also awesome for general elbow health.
Awesome. I’ll look into that. Do you have a set/rep scheme you use? I’ll be training exclusively squat and bench for the next month, so I have a lot of time to work on grip and get myself accustomed to it.
