RIP Charlie Kirk

It was confusing that you wrote about Groypers being grounded in traditional Christian values but was a white supremacist group. Was that a traditional Christian value 2000 years ago, or in the last fifty years you mentioned?

Your conclusion then that Robinson does not have traditional Christian values precludes him being a Groyper is a non sequitur.

I was just confused about your point is all. It will all be revealed sooner or later.

I didn’t make that up. Those weren’t my words. I got that off of a Google search. I included the source. I had no idea what a Groyper was. And I am trying to forget it now.

You shouldn’t. It’s a force in American politics that needs to be taken into account.

You’re chasing your own tail here.

Traditional Christian values is not easy to define. Like Nomad said, it’s a 2000+ years and there are variety of Christian cultures around the globe. Not every form of Christianity is the same. If you ask the question in different areas or eras you’ll get slightly different answers.

Are there Christian white supremacist groups? Yes. It’s not even a new phenomenon. But talking about how well they have interpreted the core values of Christianity is a another topic.

I read this and Galatians 3:28 came to mind, I wasn’t going to post, try and steer clear of the pwi stuff (despite reading it, I haven’t got the will to engage in it particularly), then I closed the thread and my verse of the day was staring at me

So yea, white supremacist “Christians” really haven’t got the core values right (as I’m sure you are well aware and weren’t saying otherwise).

I actually think this is probably one of the most influential teachings in Christianity. The value of humanity.

And yes. White supremacists have completely missed the point.

How do those bible quotes fit in with Groypers grooming femboys and being rooted in Christian values?

And, can you explain civil disobedience - you seem to imply that the murder of Kirk was civil disobedience. Was that your intent. Was the Jan 6 insurrection civil? Or did you mis speak?

As far as biblical references, are you familiar with the different mistranslations and the concept of eisegesis?

Perhaps you would find Matthew 7:1 useful at this time.

Why do these late shows even need to comment on this?

This is the problem.

What happened to TV shows being what they were meant to be, an escape of reality. The political opinions on these shows don’t belong IMO.

They shouldn’t even feel the need to mention it period. If they mention 1 they must mention every tragedy in the world.

It’s ridiculous IMO.

Because of the current idea that if you don’t love and support and become an “ally” to everything I stand for, then you’re a disgusting pig that needs to be killed.

So of course they politicize everything and drive people away.

I agree, 100%.

Perhaps you have elected to misinterpret the verse. BTW, this is a favorite Muslim verse to silence a Christian by accusing them of judging. Read verse 3-5 as they describe what principle verses 1-2 is teaching.

Paul makes it extremely clear that Christians are called to judge others. Read 1 Corinthians :1-8

"1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren."

I don’t get how there can be Christian white supremacy if Christ wasn’t white. It makes no sense to me at all.

Beliefs and feelings win over facts. People assume Jesus looked like anorectic caucasian hippie descripted in renaissance/baroque paintings.

When historians did a face of ”possible Jesus” the outrage was huge. People were used to think him like portrayed above.

He is God.
Jesus manifested Himself as an Israelite to the entire nation of Israel. He looked similar to one of them.

It is as simple as that.

The original peoples of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East are classified as “white.”

There isn’t a single white person in the Bible.

You might want to reconsider that statement.

How?

Oh, I Googled it and it’s an american thing. Your ”racial classifications” are weird anyway. I usually think everybody who has naturally more pigment as a ”non white”. I don’t usually think much about this anyway, since it does not really matter.
